| We all know the analogy of God being the potter and we the clay. What does it take for clay to become useful? Once the potter gets the shape he wants, he puts it in the furnace to harden it. Am I right so far? If we cary this over into the analogy of God being the potter and we the clay, wouldn't that imply that we will need to be put through the fire to become truly useful? Its the same thing with wheat. To become something that can be used in many ways it has to be ground into flour. All of this to say that, suffering, although not a pleasant experience, is a blessing from God and necessary to becoming useful. What say you? |
