What is your focus on?

I have seen blogs put up by people from other so called church fellowhships and when I see something that becomes a focus of controversy I must speak out. The book of Jude tells us to earnestly to contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints. Jude  3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. KJV

When I see a blog that says homosexuality is ok and not a sin it really stirs my heart that such individual may already have been given over to a reprobate mind. There is a blog has really became a source of debate (which is a sin and condemned by God) How about some word ok:

Rom 1:29 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, KJV

Debate is just a serious as murder. These things do not edify the body of Christ but casue further contention in the Body of Christ.

Ok here is some info for you greek scholars out there: The word debate in New Testament Greek is ἔρις which means strife, variance and contention.

 

Why not pursue things for love and edification for the body of believers.

Ok we know that these perveted sexual sins exist but our focus should not be these things.  Let us take a look at the Word Of God.    Luke stated yea blessed are they that hear the Word Of God and keep it. Luke 11:28

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
KJV

The scripture also tells us what to focus on and here it is:  Phil 4:8-9

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

The apostle Paul told us in verse 8 what things to think on or focus on--Now that my friend is positive thinking God's way.  Wow--It is true that some fall into sexual sin; it is true that there are homosexuals, but these things are not a good report, they are not lovely, they are not pure, they do not have virtue, they do not have praise.  Jesus told us to go into the world and preach the gospel--be fishers of men and let Jesus clean them up.  Praise the Lord Jesus forever and ever.
