| I Will Boast in Christ Alone |

C2J has been singing a new song the last couple weeks called "I Will Boast." It was written by Paul Baloche(Open the Eyes of My Heart, Above All, etc.). You can find it on his great new album A Greater Song.
The simple verse, chorus and bridge create a very catchy melody that you'll find humming long after you leave church. The song really declares that the Lord is in control of all things in our lives: our wisdom, strength, riches. There's a reason why Paul wrote the chorus as he did - upbeat and loud! We are to proclaim the Lord as the One Who's worthy and the whole world is to know!!!
Another amazing writer, the Apostle Paul, writes this in 1 Corinthians 1:26-31:
"Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things - and the things that are not - to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. Therefore, as it is written(in Jeremiah 9:24): "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
Who do you credit for your wisdom, strength and riches?
Humble us, Lord, so that we may give thanks to the One who made us, to the One who gifted us, and to the One who saved us.
I Will Boast Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom Or the strong man boast in his strength Let not the rich man boast in his riches But let the humble come and give thanks To the One who made us, the One who saved us
I will boast in the Lord my God I will boast in the One Who's worthy
I will make my boast in Christ alone
