I Love Him

His love for me is silken velvet,

Soft upon my prickly days.

His love for me is fluffy white clouds,

Reminding all to give Him praise.

His love dances through my temple,

Hugging and touching every cell.

His love embraces my heart

Asking daily if He may dwell.

His love is like purple satin,

Wrapped around my head,

Offering me heavenly peace

As I rest quietly in my bed.

His love, like rain, trickles,

Descending from the sky so blue,

Moistening me completely

Until I giggle, not knowing what to do.

My, my, my, I love this mysterious man.

He has pulled me from a squalid place,

Drawing me close to Him

Until I can stare upon His face.

I have loved just a few men,

But not like I have loved my King above.

He has given me a heart filled with jewels,

So now I give Him my love.
