| LETTER TO THE EPHESIANSTHE MONTHLY NEWSLETTER OF EPHESUS BAPTIST CHURCHGrace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:2) November 2008 We have been gearing up for “Crossover Pilot View” for the past few weeks. This outreach event is scheduled for Saturday, November 8. We will meet at the church at 9:30 to organize and to pray before we go. Depending on the number of volunteers that are present, we will attempt to visit as many homes as possible in our area in order to invite people to church, to take prayer requests, and hopefully to share the Gospel. My prayer is that the people of our community understand how much Jesus loves them and how much we care for them as well. Speaking of caring for our community, we have a wonderful event coming up this month. Our annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Wednesday, November 19. This is another opportunity for our church to reach out to our neighbors, inviting them to join us for a wonderful meal. On that same evening, our youth group will perfom “Sin Court”, a drama that they have been working on for some time. I am looking forward with expectancy to see how God will bless our outreach efforts this month. Finally, I would like to express my appreciation for the Pastor Appreciation card and gift that you presented to my family and me last month. It means a lot to any minister to know that they are appreciated by their church for their service. I only hope that everyone at Ephesus knows how much I appreciate you as well. God has accomplished much during our brief time together, and I know that greater things are still to come. Let us continually look to Him for guidance and strength as we go forth in His name.
