25:2 [It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [is] to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2 KJV
It's neat, no matter how much you study the Word, GOD will show you things you don't know. All you have to do is ask, and be willing to learn.
2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. We will never know all the Word truley holds until our Lord and Savior returns. I believe every space, letter and word represents Gods plan someway or another. 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Macrocodes In Genesis 5 if we look at the Genealogy from Adam to Noah and see what each name means in Hebrew, it tells us something pretty awesome. AdamSethEnoshKenanMahalalelJaredEnochMethuselahLamechNoahAdam: ~da adomah, means “man.”Seth: seth, which means “appointed.” Eve said, “ForGod hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.” (Genesis 4:25)Enosh: / which means “mortal,” “frail,” or “miserable.”It is from the root anash, to be incurable; usedof a wound, grief, woe, sickness, or wickedness.Kenan: which can mean “sorrow,” “dirge,” or “elegy.”Mahalalel:. which means “blessed” or “praise”; andla El, the name for God. “The Blessed God.”Jared (Yared): from the verb yaradh, meaning“shall come down.”Enoch: ] which means “commencement,” or “teaching.”Methuselah: , a root that means “death” xlvshalach, which means “to bring,” or “to send forth.”“His death shall bring.”Lamech: ,l’ a root still evident today in our ownEnglish word, “lament” or “lamentation.” “Despairing.”Noah: which is derived from nacham, “to bring relief”or “comfort,” or “rest.” “And he called his name Noah, saying, ‘This same shall comfort us concerning ourwork and toil of our hands, because of the groundwhich the Lord hath cursed.’” (Genesis 5:29)
Adam --Man (is)Seth-- Appointed Enosh --MortalKenan-- Sorrow; (but) Mahalalel-- The Blessed God Jared --Shall come down Enoch --Teaching Methuselah --His death shall bring Lamech --The Despairing Noah-- Comfort, Rest
Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow, (but) the Blessed God shall come down, teaching His death shall bring the despairing comfort, or rest.
Right here in Genesis 5, GOD had placed the planned salvation for man. Every page in the bible somehow relates to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I get excited when I start studing the Word because I know that GOD will reveal something new and exciting all you have to do is ask. Try it and see!
1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Wow! That MacroCode stuff is AWESOME... I have always felt there was much much more to the bible, but that really highlights how inspired the bible is. And that is probably only just the surface... Do you know of any other passages similar to that? I would be very interested. Great Stuff. PS, Thanks for the comments on my blog about hell as well, also very thought provoking. |

DM, I also did a word study on all of the descendents of Adam until the flood. The following is what I came up with: Adam (Adam as a name) (Seth)-substituted (Enosh)-humanity (Kenan)-possession, (Mahalaheel)-The Glory of God (Jared)-descent (Enoch)-initiated (Methuselah)- man of a spear (Lamech) – The servant of God or Sheppard (Noah) - Comfort or Rest (Shem) Authority So put to gether it could be read as: Adam substituted humanity's possession, The Glory of God’s descent initiated by a man of a spear, The Sheppard comforts as a memorial of honor. Even though we came up with slightly different end results, the meaning is strikingly similar and only underscores your original point! I did include Shem as well since he was born before the flood as well. Great Stuff! God Bless JJ |
