| To See As He Sees |

3:17 But if any one has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? 3:18 Little children, let us not love in word or speech but in deed and in truth.
How many times have we been too busy, too selfish, too insensitive to notice another person's circumstances? Our society has become so self-focused that it is hard to see the plight of another. We see the people on the interstate exits holding up signs for food, work, or money, we pass by the poor, the wounded, the sick, on a constant basis. Even in my own household I fail to be in touch with the feelings, worries, and concerns of my family members. What is wrong with me? What has become of us? It is my prayer that God would break our hearts, and that the Holy Spirit when He speaks to us and prompts us to step out in faith to help someone that we would be obedient so that Jesus would be glorified. Jesus told us that the Father in Heaven would be glorified when men see our good deeds. Lord, let us live this prayer that is in this following song. Lord please give us eyes to see as you see, compassion to feel what you feel, Your grace to share with the world around us.

Looked down from a broken sky. Traced out by the city of lights. My world from a mile high. Best seat in the house tonight. Touch down on the cold black-top. Hold on for the sudden stop. Breathe in the familiar shock of confusion and chaos. All those people goin somewhere, why have I never cared.
Give me your eyes for just one second, Give me your eyes so I can see, Everything that I keep missing, Give your love for humanity. Give me your arms for the broken-hearted The ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten. Give me Your eyes so I can see.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Step out on the busy street. See a girl and our eyes meet. Does her best to smile at me. To hide what's underneath. There's a man just to her right Black suit and a bright red tie. Too ashamed to tell his wife he's out of work, he's buyin time. All those people goin somewhere, why have I never cared.
Give me your eyes for just one second, Give me your eyes so I can see, Everything that I keep missing, Give me your love for humanity. Give me Your arms for the broken-hearted The ones that are far beyond my reach. Find More lyrics at www.sweetslyrics.com Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten. Give me Your eyes so I can see.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
I've been there a million times. A couple of million lives. Just movin past me by, I swear I never thought that I was wrong. But I wanna second glance so give me a second chance to see the way you've seen the people all along.
Give me your eyes for just one second, Give me your eyes so I can see, Everything that I keep missing, Give me your love for humanity. Give me Your arms for the broken-hearted The ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten. Give me Your eyes so I can see.
Give me your eyes for just one second, Give me your eyes so I can see, Everything that I keep missing, Give me Your love for humanity Give me Your arms for the broken-hearted The ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten. Give me Your eyes so I can see.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah

| Great message, Todd! If we could look through Jesus' eyes for one minute, we would never be the same! |

Kathy: If only but for a moment. The gospel of Matthew tells us that Jesus seeing the multitudes was moved with compassion for them because the were like sheep without a shepherd.
Terry: Thanks! I like this song it has a catchy tune but an even more powerful message.
Dan: Dan, at thanksgiving we have invited all those in our church who had no place to go and no family and little food over to our home and we are not rich for sure. We all combined what we had and I was moved to tears, I had to go to the other room and regain my composure, but there were well over 50 peole that came by and many of them had nothing or would have had nothing. I second your idea and we need to get our eyes off of ourselves and love our fellow man. As we have done to the least of these my brethern you have done it unto me. |
