Yesterday was an experience of restoration for those in attendance at Nine-thirty service. And to think, I almost changed my mind. What God has for me is for me. A brand new start for all that receive.
I like this verse because it offers that same hope of restoration and if I could encourage anybody that things can and will get better, i do so now. Now better means change and change is not always the easiest thing to participate in ---You gotta walk by faith!
Sometimes the best way to move on to the better chapter of your life is to do what you've never done and to trust your resulting vulnerabilty to God. You'll be proud of yourself for becoming the person the Lord wants you to become and all the while being blessed along the way.
You may not receive all your blessings overnight, but you sure don't mind wakin' up in the mornin,
61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good tidings to the afflicted; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 61:2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; 61:3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion--to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified. |
