| What Will Heaven Be Like? |
|
| |
Have you ever wondered what we will talk about in Heaven? I mean, we have eternity together. Won’t we run out of things to say? Or will we be too busy praising God to talk to anyone? Will we remember all the details of our lives here on earth, and talk about those? Will it be like one big reunion where the party just keeps on going? Since our spiritual bodies will be perfect, and we won’t have sorrow or pain, and the weather will most certainly be perfect, what will we talk about? (Since those are all common subjects to talk about here on earth). Will we have beds to sleep in, or will we even need sleep? Will we have wonderful food to eat, or will our spiritual bodies even need food? What different jobs do you think will be in heaven? Gardener? Musical instrument player? Singer? Shepherd? Will we remember those who did not make it to heaven? Will we recognize those who did? Will we know them even if we never met them in this life? What are your thoughts about what Heaven will be like? |

I think we will never have the complete picture while we are here. We'll be totally surprise with the awesomeness of heaven when we get there. Hey, one thing I know. It is going to be a place where I am going to be for eternity, so I am pretty sure He will make it an incredible place.
Hey Sue, can you imagine praising and worshipping HIM "face to face?"..... WOW!!!

| One thing for sure, we won't have a whole list of questions...or will we? Lourdes is correct...we sure know very little about heaven, but He is preparing a place for us which is pretty awesome. I often wonder if it will just simply be the garden without the fall where mosquitos don't sting, babies don't die, and we can eat of the fruit any time we want...all of it...because He has redeemed us...and we walk with Him and talk with Him face to face... |

Its gonna be awesome! Think of the most wonderful feeling youve ever had and multiply that 1000000000,00000000000000,000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times over. Then keep adding because its eternal. My head hurts. |

| I believe it will be peaceful, with water falls, streams, and beaches, and animals everywhere that we can hangout with. |

From a cyclist viewpoint Heaven would be a never ending downhill, with a tailwind, and no stop signs or dogs anywhere to be found!!!!
Seriously, I look to the Garden of Eden and go from there. If God created it all "very good" in the beginning, it seems to me like the new heavens will have many of the same features. |

| Awesome, peaceful, praising and worshipping our Savior, like the Garden of Eden...that about covers it! Thanks to all who have responded so far. I enjoyed reading what everyone thinks. |

| PsalmsGirl, It is nice to dream isn't it? After all, heaven is where we will spend eternity. It helps to get us through the difficulties of this life. |

While this doesn't really strike me, I know my girlfriend thinks like this a lot. For me, I just focus on Revelation 21:3,4 "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself with be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or sorrow, for the old order of things has passed away." That, for me, is all I need to know. |

| I think we'll get the opportunity to experience - fully - everything that God created. Want to see what a day in the life of a Bluejay (the bird) is? Try it out. How about a Toronto Bluejay? Go get 'em, slugger! I think that, if you believe that there is beauty in this world that has been tarnished by our sins, we can't even imagine what perfection is like. Think how much you gasp the first time you saw a mountain range, or a perfect sunset, or the ocean, and then imagine it without the blinders of sin being on :) |

I agree with the comments above. I believe there will be beauty and peace far beyond our imaginations. Two of my friends have died and been revived. Both have told me they experienced a peace that was "out of this world" - literally. I am looking forward to seeing my parents and other loved ones who will be waiting for me. My parents died within 3 weeks of each other, and one of the things that comforted me was to go down the list of people who were waiting to greet them. I had a dream - I like to call it a vision - one night when I was very distressed. I was slowly moving toward Jesus who was waiting with open arms. I could feel myself being pulled toward him, he wrapped his arms around me, and I experienced an amazing peace for the rest of the night. I have revisited that "vision" many times since. |

| Pastor R G Lee was famous for his sermons on heaven. He pastored Bellvue Baptist Church in Memphis before Adrian Rodgers. When he died, he was surrounded by family and close preacher friends. At the moment of his death, he cried out, "There it is fellas, and I didn't do it justice!" And he went to be with the lord. |

Growing In Faith, that is a great analogy, the blinders of sin. When we die, those come off and we can see everything. Won't it be wonderful?
Suzanne, I have heard of people that have died and been revived and them feeling peace...All of your comments were very good...what a wonderful feeling to have that vision and the peace it gave you.
Youth Pastor, wow, that is so cool. |

Heaven will be this for me: 1. No asthma. I've challenged Jesus to a race from the lowest spot in heaven to the highest! Any who want's to join us is welcome. 2. I'll meet all the relatives who accepted Him. This time we won't have hangups getting in the way of loving each other. 3. My guitar will never go out of tune. Boy, what a jam session we'll all have! I wonder what instrument Jesus will play? 4. I'll be taller. Why not? 5. I'll meet all the historical Christians who impressed me. The funny thing is, I won't remember any of this part of my life, so I won't remember I'm impressed or why! 6. I'll have forever to discover Jesus, His people, and the Universe. Sign me up! |
