Elections are over. Some are happy, some are not. I, for one, woke this morn knowing no matter who won, my God is still on His Throne. I woke this morning believing that America is still beautiful, I woke having faith in God to carry out His will for our country, I woke this morning believing that we as christians are victorious because no matter who is in office my focus is eternal. I woke this morning knowing it is my duty to pray for our new leaders. I woke with gladness in my heart. I woke this morning, in America, with peace in my heart.
JF: The best thing is that we as christians have a one on one relationship with Our Father.....none of us can say that about any leader in our country. I have complaints.....wow, I can take them straight to Him!!!!! I won't focus on the past four years or the next four years.......I want to focus on eternity! Amen?
What I hear you saying is that although we need to continue to pray for our leaders and our country, we need to remember where our focus should be...on Christ, whose name we bear.
When I really stop and think about it, what the leaders of our country do is of very little significance to me on a day-to-day basis...and what I do with and for Christ has a huge impact on me and those with whom I come in contact...I will be more effective as a witness to those whose lives touch mine than as a prayer warrior for those over whom I have no direct influence.
Does that make sense? I don't mean to diminish the importance of prayer for our leaders and our country, but if the leaders blow the world to smithereens I'd like to think someone is with me in Heaven because they saw Christ through me.
Cinders I knew Obama had won before I knew if you know what I mean LOL but like Michael I tend to knock about with Kings, hanging around with THE BOSS makes everything else so small, Praise God and I pray for Obama as well! love Stu!
Stushi: Whoever the president was, whoever it is now, and whoever it'll be in the future.....our job as christians is bringing people to OUR KING, this is eternal. love ya!

I forget how great our God is at times...Thank you for reminding me that He ALONE directs and leads us...HE remains Divine Ruler and Governer of our hearts and our nation...NO KING BUT KING JESUS!!!!..no matter what happens, or who is elected..our loyalty and security rests in our Fathers hands =DDD
