Let's Get Happy!
We've got work to do. All of us. I know I certainly do. I can see some very drastic changes in my very near future. I think we all can. Change is inevitable. When we face drastic changes we need to be persistent in our prayers and we need endurance. But another extremely important ingredient for success is strength.
Lately, I feel as though some of my own strength has been depleted. But as of today, I am making a decision to get strong. And how exactly do I plan on doing that, you might ask. By doing just what the word tells me to do. I am going to get happy!
The word tells us that contentment is a state of mind, not a state of being. We have to learn how to be content. Paul knew this well:Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
The Joy of the Lord is our strength.
If we are deficient in joy, then we will also be deficient in strength. And, if we are deficient in strength, then we are likely to fall in the day of adversity.
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
You could substitute joy for strength in the above verse and say:
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy "joy" is small. My Paraphrase
Joy is a very powerful force in our lives. Joy will keep you from going under.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. You could substitute joy for strength in the above verse and say:
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained "joy" because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. Joy is powerful enough to still the enemy and the avenger! That's awesome!
Rejoicing is a command. We are commanded to rejoice in any and all situations. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
I love this. Just in case we thought we didn't hear him right, Paul repeated this command. Rejoice always!
Jesus said: These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Notice he didn't say, "I am going to make all your problems vanish and life is going to be a hay ride for you". He said we will have problems, but not to let our circumstances steal our strength or our joy.
Yes, our country will more than likely be experiencing some drastic "change" in the days ahead. I encourage you brethren to build up your strength. Be of good cheer. Learn to be content. Get joy, lots of it!
That's my goal for the next few weeks. To concentrate on the Joy of the Lord. Will you join me?

Yeppers, where is that Snoopy Dance? I don't know how to add it but I am living it! I choose to rejoice in the midst of this. And pray Obama is touched by the Holy Ghost. Wouldn't that be worth shouting about. Washington DC would never be the same! He can get saved and baptized in the Holy Ghost and be the best President we ever had.
Also....let's pray for the current President and his family. They are taking a lot of criticism and I could be wrong but I believe he is a good man and a brother. |

Get Happy is a state of mind..Let's get into a state of POSITIVE HAPPY THOUGHTS, Our Country will be changing and every one will wake up and Love one another...CHANGE, not just on MyChurch but all over the world. Get Happy that People around the world is looking at us so lets show them HAPPY, Remember Change is GOOD, look at the computer you have. Do you remember not having this technology, I do and that makes me HAPPY because I can communicate with YOU, NOW I'M REALLY HAPPY, HAPPY HAPPY.
Oh Yeah, Joy, Joy, Joy. Let's get Joy. "This Joy We Have, The World didn't Give it to Us and The World can't Take It Away.
