Intro: Before we get started with the teaching I want to go over a few things that may be discussed, and why they are in here. First of all I may refer to the Hebrew or Greek definitions for some of the words. This is because the bible was originally written in these languages; the New Testament in Greek and the Old Testament in Hebrew. There were a lot of words that were changed or added when King James translated the bible in order for it to make more sense in English. There is a free software on the web called E-Sword, and it actually has the bible in English, but you can also click the numbers beside a word to find out what the Hebrew or Greek word is. I encourage you all to get this software, it is very helpful and allows you to get a much better understanding of what God was trying to say to us! Another thing you have to understand is that Jesus was Jewish, therefore He spoke Hebrew. There is a word in the originally translation that was never translated because the Hebrews and Greeks had no definition for it, this word is Aleph Tav. In the English version this word was either translated as "the" or it was not translated at all, but obviously if God put it in there it must be important. Here's why it is important; the word Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew Aleph-bet, and the letter Tav is the last letter. In Revelations 1:8 Jesus says "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending," Now these two letters are actually the first and last letters of the Greek Alphabet, but Jesus spoke Hebrew, so He would have actually said "I am the Aleph and Tav, the beginning and the ending,". So everywhere in text (when you are on E-Sword) when you see (H853) you are actually seeing an un-translated Jesus. Hopefully you understand what I have just said because it will help you out during this teaching. If you still don't understand the teaching, pray that the Lord will reveal it to you in a greater way, and that He will open up your eyes to the hidden meaning behind what was being said. Proverbs 25:2 "The glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings to search out a matter." From Darkness to Light Genesis 1:1- "In the beginning God created (Aleph Tav) the heaven and the earth." -In the beginning God created Aleph Tav, Jesus, the heaven. We know that Jesus says He is the beginning, and right here we see that He is in the beginning, before He actually came in the flesh, here He is. Romans 16:25 "Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began," Proverbs 25:2 "The glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings to search out a matter." -Right here we see that the gospel of Jesus Christ was being released since the world began, but it was hidden in a mystery, and kept secret. You need to get a revelation to understand the mystery. Then in Proverbs 25:2 we see that it is the glory of God to conceal or hide things and it is to our honor when we search those things out. God has been hiding things from the beginning, waiting for us to search for them; to search for Him! Genesis 1:2 "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." -In Hebrew the word Void is (H922;bohu)- a vacuity, undistinguishable ruin, emptiness, void. Now if you look up vacuity in the dictionary it means: absence or lack of something specified. So the earth was void because, Jesus, who was already created was not yet physically here. He doesn't physically come until the New Testament. -Darkness in Hebrew is (H2822;choshek)-misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness. It comes from (H2821;chashak)-to be dark (as withholding light) to darken, be dim, hide. Also the word Deep(H8415;thom thom) means: an abyss, deep place, depth. Let's look at abyss in the dictionary. It means: the infernal region; hell> it also says a place where evil spirits dwell; hell. So there was death, destruction, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness over the deep, or hell. Genesis 1:3 "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." John 8:12 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." -So we see here that God said let there be light: and there was light. Then in John 8:12 Jesus says that He is the light, and when we follow Him we will not longer dwell in darkness. So until you receive light you are in darkness; misery, destruction, ignorance, sorrow; but once the revelation of who Jesus is comes in, those dark places will be covered by the light. The word Darkness also meant: withholding light, to hide. So when we follow Him he will no longer be hidden, when we seek after Jesus He will not be withheld from us. When something is not hidden, it is clearly seen. So when God said let there be light, He was saying, let Jesus, My Son, be clearly seen. How can something be clearly seen that is not physically here? Through revelation! Galatians 1:12 "For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." Ephesians 3:3 "How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,)" Ephesians 1:17 "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:" -Here we can see clearly that you need to get a revelation of who Jesus is in order to come into that light, without a revelation you don't know Jesus. You may think you know Him but you really need to examine what you know about Him and if it really is true. If you are unsure then you need to search it out for yourselves, also you should be searching it out anyways because that is how we come to know Him. In Galatians 1:12 we see that Paul was not taught, who Jesus was, He did not have a pastor telling him who Jesus was. He got a revelation from God! Genesis 1:2 "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Job 38:30 "The waters are hid as a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen." -In Genesis 1:2 we see that the earth was void, which means to be empty. If the world was empty how was there water? -If we look at Job 38:30 the waters are being compared to a stone. The word Stone in Hebrew is (H68;eben)-to build; a stone, bead sling, divers. But it comes from (H1129;banah) to build. This is the same word that comes from the word Son in Hebrew(In Hebrew if any two words have another word in common they are connected.) So this stone is actually talking about a Son. The waters are hid as a stone or Son, so the waters are being compared to a Son, that means the waters are the Son. That's why when the earth was empty, void, there was still water; the water was Jesus, the Son, and God's spirit moved upon Him. Halleluiah! Genesis 1:4 "And God saw (Aleph Tav) the light, that good: and God divided the light from the darkness." -So God saw that the light was good; Good in Hebrew is (H2896;tobe)- good, beautiful, fair, loving, precious, prosperity, wealth. The word Divide in Hebrew is (H914;badal) it means to divide, separate, distinguish, to sever out. So because the light was loving, precious, fair, beautiful etc. God had to separate, sever it out, and put distinction between the light and darkness. So now there is a distinction between those who are in darkness or misery(which means: distress or suffering caused by need, privation, or poverty: great mental or emotional distress; extreme unhappiness) and those who are in light. So if you are going through depression, self pity, self hatred, addiction etc. you are in darkness and you need to come into the light! Deuteronomy 33:16 "And for the precious things of the earth and fullness thereof, and the good will of Him that dwelt in the bush: let come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him, separated from his brethren." -In this verse Moses says let the good will of Him that dwelt in the bush; (God is the one who dwelt in the bush), come upon the head of Joseph who was separated from his brethren. We just learned that God called the light good so this good will that Moses is asking to come upon Joseph is the light or Jesus(Holy Spirit) now he also says he was separated from his brethren. We just learned that God separated the light form the darkness; so this light that is coming upon Joseph is separating him from his brethren, who are in darkness. Let's look at this word brethren in the Hebrew, it's (H251;ach) a brother, resemblance like (H1). So the brethren is a brother resembling (H1) so let's look at (H1;ab) it means father. So the brethren are a people resembling the Father, but they are in darkness! This isn't just speaking about people in the world, it's speaking about people in the church who are claiming to know the Father but they are not carrying the light! They think they are worshiping God but God has separated them out because they are in darkness. They never got a revelation of the light, Jesus. Genesis 1:5 "And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." -So God called the light Day, Day in the Hebrew is (H3117;yome)- always, continually, daily, life, required, whole. Let's look at a few scriptures to see how we become this light or day. Numbers 29:6 "Beside the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt offering, and meat offering, and their drink offerings, according unto the manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord." Matthew 6:11 "Give us this day our daily bread." 1Corinthians 3:2 "I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able, neither yet now are ye able." Luke 9:23 "And he said to all, If any will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." -In Numbers 29:6 God is telling us that we are to offer Him meat offerings, daily burnt offerings as well as meat offerings, and drink offerings. In 1Corinthians 3:2 Paul says that he had to feed the people with milk because they could not handle the meat (You can search this out, the milk is for the babies in Christ, those who need you to break everything down and spoon feed it to them because they don't understand the spiritual meaning of scripture. The meat of the word is for those who are mature and understand the deep things of God, or the Mysteries. If you read Are You Really Saved, you will get a better understanding of why we teach the mysteries and why they are so important). So this meat offering that we are supposed to be giving, is us searching out the hidden things of the scriptures. Now in Luke 9:23 we see that our daily sacrifice is to deny ourselves, our wants, our desires, by putting them on the cross daily, so we become less like us and more like Jesus. Also in Matthew 16:11 it say's give us this day our daily bread. Well hopefully you know that Jesus is the daily bread or the bread of life, if you don't know that, search it out! So this light or day in Genesis 1:5 is speaking about a people who are searching out the hidden things in scripture, partaking of the revelation of Jesus, and offering themselves, their flesh, as a sacrifice. Now another word for Day was whole. I just want to look at a couple of scriptures that deal with becoming whole. Matthew 9:22 "But Jesus turned him about, and when He saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour." Mark 5:34 "And He said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague." Mark 10:52 "And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way." -So we can see in Matthew 9:22 that Jesus says thy faith has made thee whole. So first let's look at faith in the Greek it's (G4102;pistis) – a strong and welcome conviction or belief that Jesus is the Messiah, through whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God. Now we just learned that in order to know who Jesus is, we have to get a revelation from God. So this faith that she had, was a revelation of who Jesus was. When she got the revelation she welcomed it and held onto it, that is what made her whole. Let's now look at the word Whole in the Greek, it's (G4982;sozo)- to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction. Now if you remember, one of the words for darkness was destruction. So when she got the revelation she was coming out of the darkness, because she was receiving or welcoming the light; the revelation of Jesus Christ. John 5:14 "Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." -We just seen that our faith or the revelation of who Jesus is, is what makes us whole. In John 5:14 Jesus says be made whole; now go and sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon thee. Let's look at what sin really means,(Sin actually has the same meaning in the Greek as well as in the Hebrew) it's (G264;hamartano)- to miss the mark. Sin means to miss the mark, if you look at the pictograph for mark in the Ancient Hebrew Lexicon it is a pictograph of a cross! Jesus was hung on the cross, He became the mark. So if you're in sin, you are missing Jesus. You don't have a revelation of who He is, that is the sin; lying, cheating, stealing, and idolatry; are just the manifestations of sin. So John 5:14 is saying that now that you got a revelation of who I am, don't go back to what you thought I was, because you will be much worse off. So the people who are dwelling in the day or light are those who got a revelation of who Jesus is and they are coming out of sin. Genesis 1:5 "And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." -Ok now let's look at this word night in Hebrew (H3915;layil leyl lay lah); properly a twist(away of the light), adversity. So this night is speaking about a people who are twisting away from the light. In the dictionary twist means: distortion or perversion, as of meaning or form. Also means: to entwine (one thing) with another. So the people that are in darkness or night are those that distort and pervert the word of God by entwining it with their carnal ways of thinking! If you don't believe me, I'll show you. Romans 7:14 "For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin." -You see we are naturally carnal(which means to be fleshly), but the law or the Word of God is spiritual. That's why we need to go to the cross each day and die to our fleshly, carnal, desires; so we can become spiritual. 1Corinthians 2:13 "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual." -Here it says that we speak not what mans wisdom teaches (carnal fleshly things) but what the Holy Spirit teaches, spiritual things. 1Corinthains 9:11 "If we have sown unto you spiritual things, a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?" -Right here we see it, spiritual things are being sown into this people but they are mixing it with carnality, and offering back carnal understanding. Paul says it's a great thing meaning it is not taken lightly, because they are twisting the doctrine! It is supposed to be spiritual but they are making it carnal. We also saw that the Holy Spirit teaches these spiritual things, so this is a people who cannot comprehend what the Holy Spirit is showing them. The revelation that is being given to them is too much for them to bear, so they twist it into something carnal. When we do that, we are disobeying the Holy Spirit, which is God. All throughout the bible God destroys people for not obeying His word or His voice. Matthew 12:2 "But when the Pharisees saw, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day." -In Matthew 12:2 the Pharisees are telling Jesus that His disciples are wrong, but in the next verses Jesus refutes them by saying that He is Lord of the Sabbath and whatever He allows is the law. If you know anything about a Pharisee, you should know that they spend their lives studying the bible. They memorize scripture and they "teach" the gospel. So they know the word, but they only interpret it carnally. Matthew 16:6 "Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees." Matthew 16:12 "Then understood they how he bade not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees." -Right here Jesus is saying Beware, don't listen to, the teachings of the Pharisees and Sadducees; why? Because they are interpreting scripture carnally. So that means that anyone who interprets scripture carnally is a Pharisee and a Sadducee. These days we've got all these different names; preachers, pastors, evangelists, bishops, popes, priest; but in reality they are all a bunch of Pharisees and Sadducees! Unless you are getting divine revelation from God, or are carnal, hence a Pharisee and a Sadducee! Matthew 3:7 "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come." Matthew 23:33 "Serpents, generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?" -Wow so here we can see that just because someone says they are preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, does not mean they are saved and have a relationship with Christ. Right here Jesus is saying that they will not escape the damnation of hell. Here it is again; just as Joseph was separated from his brethren because he had the light, which is Jesus, and his brethren had darkness, which is carnality. Notice that Jesus calls the Pharisees serpents; do you recall anywhere else we see the serpent? Genesis 3:13 "And the Lord God said unto the woman, What this thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat." -What tree did Eve eat from? The tree of the knowledge of good and evil. She ate from a tree of mixture; spiritual and carnal; light and darkness. This wasn't just fruit that she ate, she ate of a teaching. Eve was already a spiritual being, but the carnal word sounded good so she ate of it, then she gave the word to Adam. God said that the day that they would eat of this tree, they would surely die. God did not kill them physically, but He put them out from His presence, and killed them spiritually. Romans 8:6 "For to be carnally minded death; but to be spiritually minded, life and peace." -We see that to be carnally minded is death, and to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Let's look at the word Death in the Greek (G2288;thanatos)- separation of the soul and the body by which the life on earth is ended; with the implied idea of future misery in hell. If you remember from the beginning of this teaching; when God divided the light from the darkness, it also meant to separate. So this separation comes from being carnally minded, too fleshly! The separation comes to divide us from the light. But if we are spiritually minded, it is life and peace. We are no longer eating of the fruit of good and evil, which makes us double minded. But we are now partakers of the tree of Life. 1Crointhians 15:44 "It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body." -Let's look at the word natural in the Greek, it's (G5591;psuchikos)- the principle of animal life, which men have in common with the brutes. So to be natural or carnal is to have the principles of animal life; this is our beastly nature. But when we come into resurrection life, by going to the cross and cutting off that beastly nature or that flesh; we come into our spiritual bodies. This isn't something that happens after we die! God was a spiritual being and we are made in His image which means we are to be a spiritual people too. Right now, not when we die. Do you see that pattern? Light/Darkness; Day/Night; Heaven/Hell; Peace/Misery; Carnal/Spiritual; Life/Death. -Brothers and Sisters, it is time to come out of the darkness and into the Light! Let's no longer settle for what some is telling us Jesus is, but let's begin to search Him out for ourselves. I encourage you to not only read this teaching, as well as Are You Really Saved, but I pray that you will search these things out on your own as well. Come into that resurrection life, that peace that surpasses all understanding, and the joy that is overflowing. You don't have to feel depression anymore! You don't have to feel like you are worthless anymore! You don't have to reject who you are anymore! You don't have to feel un-loved anymore! You don't have to feel the pain! Jesus came to deliver us from all of those things, to set us free so we can enjoy our lives. Don't stay in bondage any longer! Jesus is more than just a prayer you pray, He is living, and He is waiting for you to seek His face. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you, ask Him for a desire to seek after Him more and more, ask Him to show you who you really are in Him. I pray that this teaching blesses you, and shows you that there is so much more to Jesus! Bless you!
5:10 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. |
