| Coming to an end, yet just beginning! |

Well, my time preaching at the Korean Church will end the 24th of this month. That is 3 more weeks of preaching Christ from the Scripture and helping them truly understand the Gospel. I am both sad and happy. Sad that I won't be able to preach and happy that I am going to have more time to work on my seminary work (I am a procrastinator.) Two more months to finish Christology and Eschatology. Ahhhhhhh! I am amazed at how easily we fall back into works righteousness. We believe we are saved by the Gospel but we forget we are also sanctified by it as well. Not by trying hard. Not by obedience. But by the Gospel. Believing it in every area of our lives. God is please with us because of the perfect righteousness of another: Jesus Christ. We are more wretched than we could ever imagine, yet at the very same moment we are more loved than we could ever imagine. If you are under the burden of your sin, know that you are perfect in God’s eyes. If you think you have arrived, know that you are more sinful than you ever dared imagine. You are so far from God in your own righteousness you are doomed. Then fall at the feet of Christ. And rest in His righteousness. Not yours. |
