Glad you're feeling better, Carol!  No more Greek food for a while, huh?

It's a shame you didn't know ahead of time that you would go through all that pain trying to hang onto the meal your body would eventually reject. So why does it take us so long to ask for God's forgiveness sometimes??  Nice blog, though I've gotta ask, are we now seeing a new trend in blogs?  ~mike

Our body rejects things when they are not right but our spirit is more resistant to things. Yes, it does feel better when we let God cleanse us. Glad you are feeling better. Mike

lol Mike...I am happy, I've been plugged! lol

I have to admit though, I've never heard 1st John 1:9 compared with "food rejection".  And btw...that is such a term that a woman had to have coined...it's so...I don't know....proper and polite. :)

It was an excellent analogy though.  Kudos, Carol!

O,O, girl that's such a bad sick, sick, feeling! been there done that and never want to go back. My family had a family reuion one year and there was some bad food 60 of us where sick. Very good point about cleaning out, Cool that you are talking about this now, God is going to the root of somethings in my life from my past and he is cleaning me out, Sometimes it hurts!! but when it's all said and done we feel better and look much better. We have to be cleaned out so we can grow, growth is a very good thing.                                                                                                         I pray you are feeling better :)                                                                                                      Thanks,                                                                                                                                     Cheryl

Glad you're OK!

This title reminded of a toxic "friendship" I was cleansed from. I didn't know it was toxic when I was in it so the last thing I wanted was to be cleansed of it! For a long time I thought the pain of that rejection would kill me. But it didn't 'cos I'm not typing from the dead, hehe.

You're not kidding about it sometimes taking longer than 7 hours. This "cleansing" happened almost three years ago and it's only now that I can even think of it without crying. Sometimes we willfully go where God does not want us to be. And some of us are too stubborn to let go of something unless our hand is smashed...

So glad you're feeling better, Carol.  But - Greek food is the BEST (I know - not what the blog was actually about).  Dave and I are about to head to St Augustine, FL for a week's rest and there is this little Greek restaurant that we love to eat at when there.  Hopefully our meal will stay put. :o)

Thanks for your comments and well wishes.. i AM feeling lots better.  Don't know about my taste for greek anymore thought. :)

Jeannie, I too was actually in a "toxic" relationship once.  It's funny how much clearer things are when you're out of the situation.  God is awesome in that when things aren't right, He'll definitely "let us know".

Blessings everyone..

Carol, I heard somewhere that to forgive literally means to vomit or expel out of your mouth. That is so true that the biggest toxin for our soul is unforgiveness. God can not forgive me of my sin if I don't forgive my brother or friend or pastor etc. But I can truly say that I have forgiven many people including myself for many dumb and sinful things. Praise be to God He has forgiven me and is cleansing me from all unrightiousness. Thanks for that post. Prudence

Wow Prudy.. that totally makes sense!  Sometimes all kinds of "illnesses" foster when we don't forgive - bitterness, anger.. etc.

Thanks Rita and BrPatrick for the comments.. great to hear from you all..

That is a great wonderful simple analogy of the truth anyone should be able to understand it spiritually from a flesh like story.
