I have been on the road for the last couple of weeks. No internet access most of the time. :( The first week we were in Myrtle Beach with my son and his family. We had a great time. In all my years of going to the beach I had a first! I actually saw a shark in the water. Ok I didn't see the whole shark, I just saw the fin, I really did. My son and I broke the world's record for getting out of the water to shore. I really think it was just a harmless sand shark but I didn't stay around to find out.
We were walking through a zoo with my grandson Evan when we had another unusal event. We were walking down a trail when we encountered a black snake chasing a lizard. Boy was that snake moving out, but the lizard was faster. And I was even faster. Real men run from snakes. :) My exciting trip continues, Sunday night my daughter Robin and her husband Matt left for the hospital a day early for the birth of our granddaughter Kassidy Beth. She came at 4:02 AM. Needless to say it has been nonstop excitement around here.
Kassidy Beth was 20 1/2 inches long, 7lbs 7oz.
NeeNee and Poopa welcome Kassidy Beth Walls. This has been a week of surprises, but the best surprise was our precious grand baby. The older I get (I am almost at the dirt stage) the more I understand what the Lord meant when He said children are a blessing from the Lord. 127:1 Except Jehovah build the house, They labor in vain that build it: Except Jehovah keep the city, The watchman waketh but in vain. 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To take rest late, To eat the bread of toil; `For' so he giveth unto his beloved sleep. 127:3 Lo, children are a heritage of Jehovah; `And' the fruit of the womb is `his' reward. 127:4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, So are the children of youth. 127:5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: They shall not be put to shame, When they speak with their enemies in the gate. Psalm 128 A Song of Ascents. Praise God for His blessings. I hope things calm down, I am getting too old for this. Miss you guys in Covington |
