God Can? God Will? or God Has?
Some say that faith is believing that God can do anything. Some take that definition of faith just a little bit further and say not only that God can, but that God will. But I believe that real faith is not saying that God can or that God will, but that God has done everything.
Faith is our positive response to what God has already done.
We pray prayers like, "Father, please come and be with us today". God must just shake His head at that prayer. He already told you he'd never leave you or forsake you. Or we pray, "God please go with us as we leave this place". He said, "I am with you always, even unto the end of the world". What's God going to do, leave and then come back so He can answer those prayers? Hardly.
The Word says:
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Did you have to beg God to save you? Did you have to beg Him to accept you? No! You just accepted by faith that He already died to forgive your sins and that all you had to do was receive what He had already given you.
And so it is with anything else that comes from God. Healing, deliverance, peace, love, joy, blessings; all good things. God's not withholding anything good from you. Receive.
I know this sounds like splitting peas but the truth is we, as believers, spend a great deal of time begging and crying out to God to do things that He already has done, or that He has commanded us to do. That's either unbelief, disobedience, or just plain laziness.
I read a comment on Mike's blog today that sparked this little blog. The comment was made by Rob and I have to say to Rob, AMEN! That was an excellent response my brother.
There are so many ways I could go with this thought right now. But I am choosing to refrain from saying everything that's on my mind. My blogs tend to get too long-winded as it is. But my point brothers and sisters is that in your spirit you already have all things that pertain to life and Godliness. I say that instead of spending so much time praying, begging, and asking God to move in your life, turn those heartfelt prayers into praise thanking Him for what He has already given you.
If you have stayed with me this long, I have a very long-winded blog entitled Spirit, Soul, and Body which goes into detail why I believe the way I do, according as it is written. You may be interested in reading that.
God loves you beyond measure my friends. Without limit. There are no boundaries to His love. And to help us grab hold of that truth, He even gave us His faith. I pray that we, as a body, begin to start appropriating the power that has been given unto us and quit asking God to do what He has already done. In the words of Jesus, IT IS FINISHED!
Before I go, let me leave you with a very powerful verse for you to ponder. It's quite familiar to most:
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think! Amen! He is able to do do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, right? Well, I would like to point out the fact that's not the way this verse reads. Here's what this verse really says:
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Wow! That's good. According to the power that work's where? Out there in the heavenlies somewhere? Nope, afraid not. According to the power that works in us!
Believe and ye shall receive!
Now of course I understand this is not my power. It's His power and He deserves all the praise, honor, and glory. So I praise Him that He put that power in me! And my born-again friends, He put that power in you too! Receive!
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. I ask you believer, what level of faith are you? God Can? God Will? or God Has?
In love, Michael

You know what one of the most ground breaking things for me was to hear that on the cross Christ died for salvation, healing, prosperity and deliverance. It was 4 fold not just one dimensional. What Christ did on the cross was TOTAL salvation...what is there left besides those 4 things...nothing...The churches have done a great job at teaching what He did on the cross for salvation but the other three parts are just as important for most of us and we live our lives thinking we have to plead for these other three when that was DONE...No wonder our prayers seem to go unanswered...it is not about praying it is about acting out what He did for us...and that is where most of us get lost along the way....because we don't really "get it" and how sad is that for us...
You know it really is like having a child and providing a home, food, clothing and them saying nope that's OK...I'll go be homeless....How hard would that be? Well, that is exactly what we do to what Christ did on the cross when we accept only a fourth of what He did for us...in this case ignorance is NOT a blessing for us and it is a way Satan has kept us in bondage for years...it is time we are all set FREE...he who is free is free indeed!
It was not until I really got this and found it all in scripture that I was able to stand for my healing that was already DONE...I am HEALED and off 13 meds, medicines that I literally could not go a day without, I couldn't function, stand up straight, or work without my daily regimen of medicines...and I was so fatigued all I could do was work and sleep...My children and friends who knew of my daily struggle are amazed at what I am doing now....I'm wearing my kids out! How cool is that! My son told me last weekend it was hard for him to even remember me this way....Now that is just a testament of what getting hold of the TRUTH can do for us....Praise God for what He has already DONE...

Amen Lori!
You are a walking, talking, living testimony of the truth that you are not waiting on God to heal you, you just had to reach out and grab it. I am so proud of you. And thanks for the one and only comment. Apparently you and I are the only ones which have read this blog which are of Like Precious Faith!
Sozo, the word that was translated saved or salvationmeans so much more than just missing hell.
He came to set us free from the evils of this present word!
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: Thank you Lori. Your level of faith blesses my socks off.
Just to let you know, there are things happening behind the scenes of this blog which has restricted any other commentary, but so be it. This is word and it is truth!

You are such a good teacher....I was thinking of these verses: Isa 53...by His stripes we are healed. I Peter 2 by His stripes you have been healed.
With God when He speaks it is done. Just a matter of time before is comes to pass. |

Hi Janie, and thank you.
We do bring on many things upon ourselves, true. And of course we have an enemy who is constantly trying to steal our witness as well. But Prise God, he has given us power over him too!
Paul wrote most of the entire book of Ephesians from the standpoint that we are not headed to a victory, yet coming from one. Ephesians presents time and time again the truth that we have already been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly (spiritual) realm.
Paul prays that our eyes would be open and our understanding would be heightened to what we already have.
I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms |

| We do not know how to pray...good thing we have Jesus to intercede for us and tell it to God like it should be told. We waste a lot of valuable time, like you said, on things He has already promised us or given us, or is already doing for us. Instead of asking for "this and that", we should praise and thank Him for His bountiful blessngs in this life! |
