In the past couple weeks the Lord has been speaking to me about prophetic proclamation. I wasn't sure I had all the insight I needed on that subject, therefore I have studied these words for the past two weeks.
Now, listen carefully, it may seem as if I am talking about several subjects at once, but I promise it will all come together in the end. After studying this subject, I had a number of emails from people telling me that God had instructed them to begin to call things forth. This peaked my interest as it went along with prophetic proclamation.
A proclamation is an official notice given publicly - it is also defined as a declaration of the Kings will. I love that one - a declaration of the Kings will.
When God speaks something to you whether it is through the prophetic word or through the written word, it is the Kings will. Therefore, what we need to do is openly proclaim the Kings will. Speak it out.
God gave us the first example in Genesis 1:3 when He proclaimed 'light be and light was.' When He said light be - He was literally saying 'light, come into being, appear and be finished, be completed.' He was calling it forth. And light obeyed Him. Just as it will us, if we only believe. God spoke 'to' the light and it obeyed Him.
Throughout the Old Testament, we find God telling the prophets to speak 'to' things. Let me share just a few with you:
Isaiah 40:9 He told the prophets to say 'to' the cities of Judah.
Isaiah 43:6 He said He would say 'to' the North.
Isaiah 45:19 God said He had said 'to' the seed of Jacob.
Ezekiel 6:3 God said to speak 'to' the mountains, the hills and the valleys.
We are all familiar with Ezekiel 37:4, when God told the prophet to speak to the dry bones. He didn't instruct him to pray about the bones, or to ask God to fix the bones or heal the bodies, or breathe life into them. No! He told the prophet to speak to the bones. Everything the prophet said the bones - the bones obeyed and eventually there was life once again in that great army that was once bones.
God has not changed; neither has the way He does things. In Matthew 21:21 Jesus said if we speak to the mountain it must obey you. It's the same principle as in the Old Testament; we are still to speak 'to' what we need to change. As we obey God's ways and speak 'to' things, it will do just as it did with God when He said 'light be.'
Whatever we are speaking to will come forth - it will come into being - it will appear and be finished.
There is a time and a season for everything. The Bible tells us so. I believe there is a time to pray and I believe there is a time to proclaim and I believe the time to proclaim and call things forth is now.
We are faith people and we are word people, everything that is in our life right now has been brought forth by faith and our words - that's Gods way and it is our way. What are you calling forth? Are you speaking 'to' your mountain or are you simply praying about it and talking about it?
I have stopped praying about some of the things that God has already said were mine and I have become to call them forth. I have begun to speak 'to' those things instead of praying about them or confessing about them. I am speaking 'to' them.
If you need a car - speak to that car and command it to come forth. If you need to sell your home - speak to your house and call it sold. Don't pray about it - speak to it. Just as God did the light.
If you need finances, speak to provision and demand it to come forth to you. If you need healing in your body - speak to your body and command it to line up with the word of God and become whole - call wholeness forth.
If you need healing in your marriage - speak 'to' your marriage - command it to line up with Gods purpose and plan for your life.
Speak 'to' your checkbook. Speak 'to' your body. Speak 'to' your mind. Speak 'to' your business. Speak to whatever you need to see changed - but speak 'to' it.
Just as Jesus said, 'when you speak to the mountain, it will move.' It will move. It has to move - it has no choice. Whatever you speak 'to' (that lines up with the word of God) must obey you - it must manifest for you - it must move toward you.
Today - begin to speak to situations. Begin to make prophetic proclamations - begin to declare the Kings will - and watch it come rushing toward you. It's the season we are in. Don't miss this season. It is a season of speaking 'to' and calling forth - don't miss this season. It's yours! Enjoy it.
