| It is sooooo easy to get a response from something a majority can relate to(thanks for the response to What Are We Here For).My Pastor will put out an announcement for ideas for different projects from time to time for example.Then the funny thing happens,while a lot of ideas will be given,no one wants to implement them!!! That is an exaggeration.The same people who do the work ALL of the time are there in force.The sad thing is a lot of the ideas are good.My Pastor will say to someone with a good idea,"you are just the person for the job".The response"oh Pastor I was just suggesting"..The same with intentions.There is an advertising campaign going on right now called"ALMOST GIVING".Almost giving is like NOT giving.Remember the bible warns us not to just pray and leave something alone.Praying for someone to be clothed,then not giving something to wear or praying someone to be fed and not giving them something to eat.Same thing.We have GOOD intentions,but are they Godly intentions???I,in my humble opinion believe if our intentions were GODLY,they would be full of ACTION!!!Referring back to my previous blog entry"What Are We Here For?",We are to fulfill Jesus' commission to us.Plain and simple.We make things harder than they really are.God will not send us into situations without being equipped.If you are failing in your mission asked yourself"is God in this?"In my experience I have been really fired up about doing something for the Lord,but find myself drug down and discouraged.I went to my Pastor only to find out that while what I was doing was good,it wasn't necessarily Godly.To sum this entry up.Don't almost give,say hello,check on an elderly person,give your tithe or offering,TIME to family,TIME to church work,TIME TO GOD..... |
