We have all been having a lot of fun venting at Deb's most recent blog regarding things that bug us. http://www.mychurch.org/blog/33825/What-is-your-Pet-Peeve#comment
It is so great to be able to get those things that bug us off our chests! Now that we've done that, maybe we should start to exercise our attitudes of gratitude.
4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Yes, Lord, yes! I'll start:
Some of my favorite things:
When, before the checkout lady opens a new register, she comes to the next person in line and pulls their cart into the front of the new line!
When I hit all green lights along the main street of town. I celebrate like I won a contest or something!
How 'bout you?

Oh, I love this Soozanne! Some of my favorite things...kittens, warm summer mornings spent reading the bible on the front porch swing, the beautiful flowers that God has graced me with in my gardens, music and the gift of singing! |

I agree on the dri, especially on the way to praise practice or church! When the pet peeve slow person in the driving in the left lane: a) on cell phone, b) handicapped, or c) oldster, finally moves over into the slow lane where they belong. When the church comes together in unison and fights an evil. This happend to a small degree with Operation Rescue in the 80's. When a politician actually does something right (sorry, can't think of any examples). Oh, here is 1: Judge Roy Moore's right decision about the 10 commandments in Alabama (he should be the head of the Supreme Court) When a Christian resists tyranny: Michael New's refusal to wear the UN patch at the unlawful tyrannical order of Bill Clintone! |

I just love to watch children with their parents - you know, strangers. Especially when children are discovering something for the first time, or enjoying something you or I would find mundane. I especially love it when the children are willing to talk to me about it. I love talking to kids. Like you Suzanne, I love it these days when people show manners: when you're backing out in a parking lot and the person driving by waits for you, when you signal and someone lets you over, when someone holds the door for you to come through, or when someone accidentally bumps you and says "excuse me" - particularly when its a teenager. I just love that! |

-When passing through immigration and I don't get the red light...I ALWAYS get the red light!
-When, every now and then, God let's me in on what He is doing in my life or someone close to me.
-When one of the people who work for me come to me and tell me thanks for pushing them to achieve more than they thought they could.
-An afternoon nap in a hammock in the woods.
-Walking hand in hand with the one I love on the beach at sunrise or sunset.
As Julie Andrews would say...these are a few of my favorite things... |

Von Tramp??? Oh, please, say that's a typo, Voice!
My 16-year-old and 13-year-old know all about the Sound of Music. My daughter used to beg to watch "Fraulein Maria" when she was a preschooler!
Another fave: Sipping an ice cold Diet Coke while watching a chick flick with my daughter.
One more: Coming home and finding two loads of laundry already washed, folded and put away!
WooHOO! |

Cathy, those are my kinds of Nun's ! BTW, last year the great grandkids were touring with area symphonies to commemorate the anniversary of the family's escape. As they were doing interviews it seemed like they understood the legacy they were carrying forward. |

I love to wake up to a bright sunny day. Where I live we can go for days and days without the sunshine. I love the beauty God created for us to enjoy. I love to snuggle a baby or a kitten. I love dolphins, horses, and deer. I love when a little child is delighted to see me and runs into my arms for a big hug and a smooch. I love to ride passenger on motorcycles! I love that God has blessed me with good health, lasting friendships, motherhood and grandmotherhood, a loving church family, a job I enjoy and co-workers who are also friends. I love massages, climbing into a bed with clean sheets, the smell of a baby after its bath, roses, rainbows, being outside to watch a sunrise or sunset. I love that I have an even longer list of things I love! |

| I love it when I hear God's voice. This can and has been audible (a couple of times) as well as internal. Nothing is better than really hearing him. |

- I love catching God blessing me.
- I love rainbows and sunsets.
- I drive a 2500 series 12-passenger Chevy Express van that fits in our garage with just 10 inches to spare: I love finding two parking spaces right next to each other in the front row at a crowded shopping center.
- I love fresh orange juice (I'll have to tell the story some time). |

I love when I am on my road bike (bicycle) and come to a downhill with no stop sign at the bottom. (I feel the need, the need for speed!)
I love when someone I am discipling discovers that God is listening to them.
I love when my kids want to play the tickle game. |
