You are very welcome!  Yeah, my Dad was a good man.  I love that I have such good memories of him to keep me going until I see him again in heaven.

Soozanne, this was such a sweet and heartfelt story.  I felt like I was right there with you as you told it.  You were blessed to have a dad like that.  I did not, and it took me a long time to realize that my Heavenly Father was not like my dad here on earth.  My dad never abused me physically, but mentally he did, as well as my mom and siblings.  You were blessed to have such a great day that could make you feel so special.  Thanks for sharing.

Great story Soozanne. Enjoyed it a lot. You know it could have been so easy for you to be huffy and not even talk to your father when he asked what was wrong, but you responded. By your response you were blessed. Such a lesson to learn...even now.  Selah.

I hadn't thought of that, Voice.  You are right.  It all starts with talking to our Father in the first place, doesn't it?

Soozanne, I somehow missed this blog until now.  Thanks for making me cry!   :)    What a great story!  And so filled with lessons:

He stood up, continued up the steps and went inside. I was convinced no one cared about me.

How many times have we all felt this, not knowing what our Heavenly Father was planning?  I love this blog!!!

Kathy, thank you for giving me an excuse to read this again.  It is one of my favorite memories of my Dad.  I'm glad you were blessed!
