13:26And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. 13:27And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us; and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. 13:28Howbeit the people that dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified, `and' very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. 13:29Amalek dwelleth in the land of the South: and the Hittite, and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, dwell in the hill-country; and the Canaanite dwelleth by the sea, and along by the side of the Jordan. 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We are not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. 13:32And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had spied out unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature. 13:33And there we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who come of the Nephilim: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. There are people in our lives who just refuse to see the vision, anointing, and calling that Jesus has purposed for our lives. These people are vision killers. The Lord had finally brought the Israelite people to the edge of their promise land. The wait was over. The desert was over. The people could not only smell promise, taste, feel it; they could see it: "a land that does flow with milk and honey". Instead of being obedient and possessing what was rightfully theirs, they complained, failed to see, failed to take the next step.
Vision killers see the vision. They kill the vision because they simply fail to obey and move forward into blessing. We must not allow these people to infect and poison our destiny and our promise. You see the entire Israelite community suffered because they listened to the bad report of a few. My co-laborers in ministry we must be careful not to allow these vision killers to cloud the corporate anointing and blessing that the Lord has purposed for us to bring to the people we minister to! The Israelites trusted the sight of man more than the vision and plan of God. How often does the Lord show us something marvelous and miraculous and we share that vision with friends and acquaintances and they discourage us.
Some of you have destiny and promise all over you. You are called to be a singer, preacher, counselor, writer, or teacher, but someone has deferred your dreams, someone told you it was ridiculous-ludicrous, foolish fo you to dream. Forty years, the Israelites wandered, forty wasted years, because they lost sight of the promise. Please do not lose sight of your promise, your destiny.
Do not let your dream dry up. Believe. Believe that Jesus will do just what he said he would do. You will obtain that degree you have always wanted. You will pastor your own church. You will operate your own business. You will walk in your calling. Your children will be saved. You will be debt free. So, go ahead and offer up your praise now. Sacrifice your fellowship offering now:
( "And there..in promise land shalt thou build an altar unto Jehovah thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt lift up no iron `tool' upon them.Thou shalt build the altar of Jehovah thy God of unhewn stones; and thou shalt offer burnt-offerings thereon unto Jehovah thy God: and thou shalt sacrifice peace-offerings, and shalt eat there; and thou shalt rejoicebefore Jehovah thy God. And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly (Deuter 27:5-8)
You are in your promise land |

Wow Starr, that's an awesome piece of encouragement. I believe and receive!
Too many people are out there living and coping with sick hearts. And what makes the heart sick? Hope deferred. Visions killed. But, when that hope, desire, vision comes, it is a tree of life!
The world is getting hot, we need more shade. We need more trees of life!
Thanks my friend! |

| BRAVO! AMEN! Hallelujah! So true, and the amazing thing is that often times we allow those dreams and visions to be stolen. We believe the lie of the enemy and we don't realize our promises. I have learned over the years that God always brings us to a place where it is not comfortable, where it does not make sense, where it is scary, where it is impossible and then we shrink back, whine and complain that it is too hard, too big, too much for us to do. Yet if we would just step out on faith and trust the Lord we will see that He will bring us into our land of promise! Great word Starr! Great word! |
