| We Stink! |

My wife and I are often joking about how much our children stink. They are boys and very active outdoors so they do smell like dogs, at times. Truth be told, we must really stink to God. All the sin that we accumulate on us must make our soul reek. The great part is that God forgives and washes us clean. All we have to do is one simple thing, accept Jesus, the implanted word. The book of James always seems so alive with its easily applied passages. The freshness and accessibility of this letter makes it a good model for how a Christian should proceed with his life, in the implanted word.
1:21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rank growth of wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. |
