4:1 "For behold, the day comes, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the LORD of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. 4:2 But for you who fear my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings. You shall go forth leaping like calves from the stall.
I don't know about you, but the prospect of a fast coupled with prayer and seeking God's face, is a an exciting prospect for me.It also, at the same time, fills me dread. It is a time that God uses not only to bless you and answer your prayer, it is also a time when God deals with sin.
Biblical records and church history shows that God always deals with His own first. Purifying, sanctifying, dealing with character issues, exposing our hearts wickedness and also bringing redemptive healing, to our hearts. He makes us more like Him.
I know this time of prayer and fasting is special, for me. I heard God about Marianne, the woman I hope to marry soon. It was during the 2005 prayer & fasting season that God spoke to me. It was, and still is very special to me.
