6:14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make [them] the members of an harlot? God forbid. 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
If you've been filled with the Holy Spirit. God lives in you. The Creator of the universe lives in you. The God of glory, the God who dwells in unapproachable light, the Eternal God, Jesus Christ, the Holy One, the King of Kings ,Lord of Lords, the beginning and the end, alpha and omega, first and the last.GOD lives in you.Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
We can never overcome sin in our own power we must realize WHO we have living in us.For too long we have made lists of things not to do. We need to begin to DO some things PRAYER, MEDITATING on the Word,and FASTING would be a good start. We have to begin to say yes to the Spirit of God and no to the flesh "which is the god of this world."We have to say "no" also but without saying "yes" we are working in our own power and will continue to fall to every temptation that comes our way.
8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 8:6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace. 8:7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 8:10 And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness. 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Lord give us a fresh baptism,infilling of your Spirit in Jesus name.Lord help us to realize and tap into the power we have through your Spirit that lives in us.Thank you God for dwelling in us. Thank you God. We love you Lord! Thank you for your overcoming power. |
