| Yellow Embers |
|
| |
It's a brisk cold outside, the lights are dim with worry. How many days left as we carry on through a rut in the valley. Wrapped in torture, satan tries moment-by-moment to disban this unit. Only by the Blood of the Lamb are we walking.
Have you had an experience that seemed like a setback, yet God sovereign;y used it to accomplish spiritual progress in your heart. To put a fresh word in your soul and mouth.
As the fire of your trials increase...remember how the old is burned off....by the consistant friction from the wood rubbing together. The two planks serve as a conductor for heat and friction and thus a hot flame is produced. How hot is your flame?
If you were stranded on a camp-out and needed a fire could you make one? If you ran into a friend and he needed a word from God, could you give one? Are you walking in your Bible time with God? Yes, even in the valleys...the only light will be God...but the light can be hot and bright in your heart even as it is dim in the world until this passes. Remember God's promise...this too shall pass.
"Not infrequently it was by persecution that the new faith was driven out of one place into another, where, but for this reason, it might never have been heard of; so that the opposition which threatened to extinguish the fire of the Gospel only scattered its embers far and wide; and wherever they fell a new fire was kindled." James Stalker, The Two St. Johns of the New Testament.
8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church which was in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. 8:2 And devout men buried Stephen, and made great lamentation over him. 8:3 But Saul laid waste the church, entering into every house, and dragging men and women committed them to prison. 8:4 They therefore that were scattered abroad, went about preaching the word.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving if I don't see ya before!~ |

| Oh how painful to be molded and shaped by the LORD, but He promises to work all things together for the good. So we trust Him no matter what. |

| Thanks for the reminder! All that we go through, especially the hardest parts, are for His Glory. They mold and shape us in ways that cannot be accomplished through any other means. Praise God through the storm- He will never leave us nor forsake us! |
