| A Few Forgotten Human Rights |
|
| |
12:2 Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. All human beings have God-given rights that should be respected by governments, religions, corporations, and individuals. Many human rights are being proclaimed, defended, and protected by individuals and organizations around the world.
The following human rights, however, have been neglected, ignored, and forgotten both by individuals and by institutions. No organization is fighting to protect these rights. If you want these ignored human rights you will have to personally fight to secure them for yourself.
The ignored human rights are:
1) The right to personal peace of mind.
2) The right to freedom from bondage to tormenting inner compulsions and self-destructive habits.
3) The right to genuine self-esteem and self-respect.
4) The right to freedom from guilt and shame.
5) The right to encouraging and fulfilling relationships with other people.
6) The right to victory over worry and fear.
7) The right to an inspiring and motivating dream or purpose.
8) The right to enthusiasm and excitement about being alive.
9) The right to a sense of personal fulfillment and accomplishment — a job well done.
10) The right to the daily enjoyment of life, family, friends , beauty, nature, and work |

| How true! But how do we fight for those rights? |

| Bookish: Those rights are defended and won through the inward spiritual battle -- not against flesh and blood -- casting down imaginations and bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. |

Can you imagine what would have happened if God had used men in His “Creation”? The outcome would not have been perfect order and harmony - not based on history and the present confusion and disarray in God’s house; each man doing what is right in his own eyes as ancient Israel did continuously (Judges 21:6 and Isaiah 5:21). This they still do even though we have the example of ancient Israel's destuction because of disobedience. God has commanded given His commnds for all to know; yet here are those who choose to ignor “the whole counsel of God” - except when it is convenient for themselves. Please consider God’s Word in Numbers 15:39&40 (KJV):
“… that ye (A) seek not after your own heart and your own eyes [seek after wealth and prosperity]after which ye use to go a whoring [giving heed to seducing spirits (1 Timothy 4:2)]:That ye may (B) remember, and (C) do all my commandments, and (D) be holy unto your God.”
So, God says the reason His people have not obeyed His Word is because they are seeking after their own desires - their “Visions” and not the Lord’s “Vision”. Yes, The Word does say that God will give us the "desires of our hearts" (Psalms 37:4); but that is His reward for “delighting ourselves [being joyful] in Him” (John 17:13 and 1 Peter 1:8).
Like it or not; all who have preached that "Christianity" is a means of material gain has been used by Satan, as Jesus says, to decieve even the elect (Matthew 24:24).
Him who has an ear to hear, let him (or her) hear. |
