The Circumcision was the topic of discussion....that did not do away with the law....if that were the case...we all can kill...steal...commit adultery...not honor our parents...not honor the sabbath....etc. etc. etc.....That letter don't mean NOTHING to me ;o)

Thanks for the comment, Mar Jay.

P.S.  That letter is part of the New Testament book of Acts.

I know my friend (smile)  God's Words overrides it all..men, like us do make mistakes...but the Holy Spirit did allow it to be recorded.  Thanks for making mention of that though ;o)

Great Post. I don't think I have a nominee for best letter, but I do have comment: I look at it this way... By just looking at the limitations placed on human beings by the Law, we are standing with our backs to Christ staring at a line drawn on the ground to make sure we are on the correct side of the line. If that is our focus, we will never move away from the line, turn around, and walk toward Jesus. If we are looking at Jesus, we will leave the line of obeying the Law behind and move ever toward Jesus. Only in moving toward Jesus can we achieve increasing excellence in the way we live. The Law is enslaving because its burden keeps us from fully growing as we should. Galatians 5:1 says Christ freed us from slavery. He freed us to turn around and move away from the line toward Him.
