| MAKING A MARK THAT CANNOT BE ERASED!!! |

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to experience something that was totally a blessing. Our church, Overcoming Word Praise Center, Int., had an outreach program for Thanksgiving yesterday morning where we had 250 turkeys and all the trimmings to go along with them to give away to families in the community. All they had to do was attend our 10 am service and receive a turkey and dinner. We had 65 families attend and received the dinners...that is our mission is to give back to the community, but, the real blessing came after service. Though we want to draw the lost to the Lord once they are in the four walls of the church, but there are those that either cannot come to the service because maybe they don't have transportation or they just flat out don't want to come near a church, that is when we need to go outside of our four walls and go into the community.
Our Pastors decided after service to take the turkeys and dinners to our local housing projects and be a blessing...little did we know how much of a blessing it really was, well...not until we got there. We got there and just got out and began to knock on doors and ask people if they wanted a turkey dinner and the look and the joy that was on their faces were priceless. They were so excited, or shall I say, shocked and surprised at us being there...We gave them their meals and took their names for fututre ministry outreaches. it was the most 'AMAZING' thing I have ever experienced. I used to be that person in the past...so I know exactly how the receivers of those meals felt.
You can invite anyone to church and give them the Word of God, that is the most amazing thing is salvation, but when you can take them a meal and also share Gods love and Word with them as well...it is even the more amazing. The Word of God even tells us that, 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent [them] out another way? 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
When we do these things, we truly do 'MAKE A MARK THAT CANNOT BE ERASED'!!! They will never forget that day, and our names will be in their mouth's for some time now. That is the best ministry ever, going out to those that cannot come to us. That shows the True love of God!!! 13:13 But now we still have faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
