God is Greater............ 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. What a powerful thought that God is greater. Please note what John is saying in this verse of scripture. Ye are of God, What makes one of God but a born again experience? John goes on to say little children, ye have overcome them. The secret is out beloved that our God did not save you and I to live a defeated christian life. Because greater is he that is in you, that being the Holy Spirit. Than he that is in this world, that being the forces of darkness and Satan and his imps. We need to realize something that is of the most importance to us as believers. God is greater than sin, the apostle Paul spoke of this in Romans the 6th chapter verse 1-2. Shall we that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?( God forbid) Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Several scriptures through out the New Testament teach us that our God is greater than sin. Jesus being our example lived a life without sin. We as believers should stride to be like Jesus. God is not greater in a believer's life, if one's constantly giving place to the devil. God is greater than anything that your going through. "Seems like for most believers there's a plan B in the works", before God ever has a chance to do what's needed.God is greater than a drug addiction. God is greater than an addiction to alcohol.God is greater than anything physically wrong in your body. God is greater than being cast into a fiery furnace.
3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. 3:26Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, [and] spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come [hither]. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. God is greater than a den of hungry lions. 6:20 6:19Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. 6:216:20And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: [and] the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? 6:22 6:21Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. God is greater than a than a host of horses and chariots a great host that compassed the city where Elisha dwell.
6:14 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. 6:15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? 6:16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that [be] with us [are] more than they that [be] with them. 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain [was] full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. The Lord that we serve is truly greater than anything that can come against us as believers.
