74:17 Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.



 
You have made both summer and winter.
If God is true to His Word in the revolving of the seasons, He will certainly prove faithful in His dealings with His own beloved Son.  The winter of the soul is not a comfortable season at all.  But this may comfort you: The Lord has made it.  He sends the sharp blasts of adversity to nip the buds of expectation.  They come to us by His wise design.
Frost breaks up the earth and enriches the soil.  In the same way, good things can result from our winters of affliction.
Our Lord is a constant source of warmth and comfort in our times of trouble.  Let's wrap ourselves in the warm sweaters of His promises and then go out into the cold and continue our service for Him.

We must remember the winter's snow contributes to our water supplies, the weather can be harsh at time, but never the less God has it all in his control.  Even when it's a storm in ones life...

The winter is the time of pruning; where the branch's focus is turned from the fruit being produced, to a more intimate abiding in the Vine that is the true source of that fruit.

Again:

2 Corinthians 4:10-11
always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12So death is at work in us, but life in you.

No death; no resurrection.

God bless you for the words you put before us.  Winter is very difficult for many of us.  I had to talk myself into gettin out of bed.  It hurts - that cold air.  I'm going to remember this writing.

Indeed, we can all expect a change of the seasons as He brings His will to come to pass in transforming us into the likeness of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Truly, God has blessed and ordained these changes.
