OK, So it sounds a lot more spiritual than it probably is, but tomorrow's a big day for me. Grandkid being born, marriage on the horizon, no, none of those major life events, just the next Narnia movie!! OK, life was kinda busy when it came out, so I missed it ! Me, a real Narnia fanatic, the one who read it over and over to my kids as they were growing up. Me who's only read Lord of the Rings and The Foundation as many times, me who would have Reepicheep as the second person I would want to meet in heaven, if he was only real...sigh. I missed it when it came out last year. So tonight I watched The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, just to get ready. sigh....so cool. I also often forget how much of the Kingdom C.S. Lewis put into the books, and how the producers kept so much of it in place. Maybe the second person I should be wanting to meet is Clives himself, how interesting must be his perspective now! So Farther up and Farther in....and welcome to Narnia! |

Barb, I will watch it with my grandkids, kids, whoever wants to set through my cheering ! Mike, I live for Farther up, farther in! Bubbles, I just found a source for al the books on CD, from the BBC radio shop...so...best of all words, books, radio, and movies !! All have their strengths and weaknesses...oh, and I read them in published order, not Chronological.... Wow...wow... Now fro the mail..I just got Brother Son, Sister Moon...hehe....terrible day to be sick.... |

Hey Dennis,
Are you feeling better yet? I hope the ol' flu bug has moved on. How was the movie? I saw Prince Caspian with my step mom. Yeah, don't fall off your seat...Sandra went to a theatre! I think it's only about the third movie I've seen since the 9/11 attack when God asked me to quit watching TV/movies. It was certainly entertaining. I loved the part when they were riding horses underground and chopped all of the pillars down so the army above came crashing through the ground. However, when it was all over I asked myself, "Was that a Christian movie?" I didn't get it. Someone explained it's symbolic. "Ohhh!" Well, I suppose if it helps some to better understand the gospel, then that's a good thing. I'd rather a movie be more blatantly about Jesus. Anyhow, I used to watch TV and movies all the time, and it definitely was entertaining and enjoyable...and nothing real bad except lots of sword fighting. Of course, some would say that's symbolic of killing the Devil with the Word of God, the Sword of the Spirit. Well, thanks for listening to me ramble on and on and on.
I hope school is going well for you. Happy Holidays! |
