Just got back from the Answers in Genesis Family Conference going on at Covington High School Auditorium. It was interesting, I really liked the session " Why Can't a Day Mean a Day?" The conference will continue through Sunday night if you are interested. This would be great for parents who need to answer a lot of questions about evolution. You can go to this link to learn more about what is remaining this weekend. There is also a web site you can access for a ton of articles about creation and evolution from a Christian viewpoint. Don't forget we have a Creation Conference coming up in August (5-8). Follow this Link for more details I have been on the road for the last several weeks, part vacation and part grand baby. If you would like to read about some of my adventures, you can check out these blogs. While in GA, I had the chance to attend my son-in-law's ministry to children for two weeks. It was neat to see so many kids on fire for Jesus. It is called Fusion and the parents attend with their children, which is a neat concept. If you would like to see a high energy children's ministry in action just follow this link to see a video of Fusion in action.
Chris Chesley's new series on Nehemiah got off to a great start last Sunday. Plan to attend this Sunday and invite a friend. This Sunday's message: COMFORT ZONE
- Great Father's Day, 311 in attendance
- Great Wednesday concert with Aaron Jackson, what amazing talent
- Met mom of two boys baptized recently, shared they were eager to follow the Lord
- Pray for the Mission team as they travel home Saturday
- Pray for Jonathan and Aaron as they serve at Grace Bible Camp this summer
- Pray for building team meeting this Thursday, big decisions
- Lemonade on the Lawn this Sunday night
- Sunday night I will be continuing in the Balancing the Christian Life series based on the book by Charles Ryrie

This week our topic is Ground Zero: In Christ Many people try to live the Christian life in their own strength and they fail. The Christian life that Jesus described in the Sermon on the Mount is beyond human ability. Only as we are in Christ do we have the power to live a true Christian life. As we yield to Christ He gives us what we need to be what we need to be. 4:13 I am able to do all things through him who gives me strength. |
