The count down hits the pavement as the referee pounds his fist on the blue mat wrapped in retractable rope.  The lights glare in my eyes as I look up, my back pinned to the chaos.  How did this happen I grieve, as i seek God to see.  Thinking things happen to others from their sin is not the truth...I had no sin to instigate this.  As I close my eyes I am softly prompted by a warm, solid-love filled memory as I feel the Holy Spirit step into the ring.  The accuser hisses his untruths...the Holy Spirit calmly rebuttals.  Satan laughs as a different tactic...the Holy Spirit knows his games.  Satan offers, the Holy Spirit stops him in mid sentence,..."Do you not know who my child is?"  The Holy Spirit reminds satan that it is proven in the book of Job and James that we do not have trials based on our sin, we all walk through things....  Teeth clinched and horror waiting to repel from his grimace, satan counter attacks.....calmly, again the Holy Spirit shows satan love even in the battle as He stands up for me.  And as He stands up for You!  Do not be dismayed, God's way will prevail!
