| God is for You |

There are times in my life when I'm just tired. I want to give up. I can't see the finish line. My vision is blurred. My mind is confused. I get discouraged, don't feel like taking another step.
During those times, I just want the world to go away. Leave me alone. And honestly, during those times, God can step away too. I'm in my funk and I don't want to hear His voice. In other words, during those times I have shut down, shut out, and shut up. Walls go up, faith nose dives. If there's a light at the end of the tunnel, it's probably a train.
If we're honest, truly honest, we all go through those times. Some handle it better than some of us.
Today, reading my devotional by Max Lucado, it brought to mind some of those times. And by the time I finished it I was smiling.
The verse today is
3:17 The LORD, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing
God is for me. As Max put it:
Turn to the sidelines; that's God cheering your run. Look past the finish line; that's God applauding your steps. Listen for him in the bleachers, shouting your name. Tood tired to continue? He'll carry you. Too discouraged to fight? He's picking you up. God is for you.
Wow...God is for me even when I'm not...it made me smile, hope it does you :) |

| I just re-read this & my sister in Christ, it is so true that if we would really be honest, we all go through these times. I am coming out of one now, praise the Lord. He is always faithful & that is what keeps me going. Thank you so much for this post. |
