The more we pray the more our faith grows. The more we pray, the more we get the spiritual ear wax out of our ears &the better we hear the Holy Soirit & the easier it is to obey & serve God.It's easier to pray as we ought  when the holy Spirit is leading us.

Dennis, HAHAHA!!! (ah, but don't we all, hehe)

Sarah, great observation. Prayer certainly IS good for our faith. Spiritual ear wax? lol, creative!

Thanks Marjay, no doubt prayer is way more important than most of us give it credit for!

Megan, I couldn't wait to reveal to you the purpose of that silly photo, lol.

Penny...isn't that awesome? A whole network behind us! I am having a hard time getting over that thought! (Frankly, I don't want to "get over it" either!)

Thanks Joe, Grant, & Peace Angel!

What a great reminder that we are never alone. Prayer is such an important thing... reminding us that we are never, ever alone for as long as there is prayer we are strengthened together... excellent. Many thanks and blessings to all...

Amen!!!!!  How powerful and perfect is God's plan of prayer in our lives and others.  I have really been struggling with my own prayer life these past few months, but know it's important to press through.

Yes Mike!  I believe, as the scripture says, that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God and intercedes for us...but I also believe that He does not do that except through His libs...and that is what some of us are.  It is a privilege and honor to allow the Spirit of Christ to lift up those intercessions through us to God our Father.

8:26 And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for `us' with groanings which cannot be uttered; 8:27 and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to `the will of' God.
8:34 who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof.

Blessings!
Craig

Great one Mike.  If we knew all the prayers being said for us each day, we would be shocked!

Mike, it is amazing how God will use the simple things in life to get Glory and many times we miss it because we are still gazing at the sky looking for the fan-fare. Thanks for showing me the network. It is an awesome feeling to know that the network is there

Matthew 4:19 (Amplified)  And He said to them, Come after Me [as disciples--letting Me be your Guide], follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men!

The original "network".

The Intercessor

My works are like a grain of sand on the beach of GOD's grace
As I struggle and falter in this part of the race

Unable to continue I stop to rest
And watch as others give their best

From somewhere I find the strength to rise
And throw off the burden of an enemy's lies

Unknown to me one has stopped to assist
Seeing what others conveniently missed

Caring enough to lift me in prayer
And loving enough my burden to share

As the weary rises to run once again
Strengthened by the love of an unknown friend

Intercessor's prayers fly as on wings
No one hears as the sea gull sings

Flying above the turmoil of sin
Intercessor's watch begins

Night is nearing and the tide is rising
Intercessor searches and listens for crying

Of those too weak or are stuck in sin
Unable to escape a past or what may have been

As Intercessor plants his prayers with tears
The Spirit strengthens and frees from fears

The tide comes in at the feet of the saint
As he walks away freely without restraint

Ever present but rarely sought
this vision of prayer is set at naught

As others seek proof of gifts and power
Intercessor watches for one more hour

Aw, Gordon, the tears of an intercessor are usually nothing compared to the tears of those who are going through the trials and suffering. Granted they are offered in love, often unsolicited. Wonderful poem, wonderful message, thanks for posting it. I'm honored and graced by you!

Sheree - I agree.....phooey on the fanfare! The "network" is silent, ubiquitous, and most unspectacular!

Deb, I'm sure we would be shocked if we only knew how many ppl were praying for us, and sometimes even who is praying for us. Like those we don't know, or those we think we've offended, or even those who we think have been ignoring us! This network is outa control!

Mike --- Aw, Gordon, the tears of an intercessor are usually nothing compared to the tears of those who are going through the trials and suffering.

The shortest verse in the Bible...

Jesus wept.

Those words written as He stood at the tomb of His friend, Lazarus. The tears of Jesus were nothing compared to the tears of Mary and Martha as they were suffering the loss of a brother.

Another time we read that Jesus looked upon the city of Jerusalem and wept over it. His tears were nothing compared to the tears being shed in the city over the injustice the people suffered.

Yes, Mike, the tears of an intercessor cannot be compared to the tears of those who suffer. They are quite unique and precious in the sight of GOD. The heart of an intercessor breaks over the broken and is poured out in prayer for those who are empty. Intercessors can't fix what is wrong but can bring the wrong before GOD. Intercessors carry burdens others ignore. Intercessors weep, whether for one person or a city because they care deeply. Intercessors, called of GOD, continue long after the volunteers quit. Intercessors are out of sight before man but targets in spiritual warfare.

.....peace.....

Mike...I love, love, love this analogy! Did I mention that I LOVE it?! the visual above is one I will keep in my mind and on my heart as I go through life's trials, knowing that I have a network - no, many networks - of people praying! Thanks a bunch for this!

Mike, You really do have an interesting way of seeing things.  We do have a network of prayers following us.  We also have a network for friends and a place to share our faith.  How blessed we are to be free to worship and praise God without fear of persicution!  Thanks for sharing!  Judy

Thanks Judy! It's important to remember that network. The devil wants us to forget there's an entire network of believers praying for us! Ok, maybe those who pray regularly are few, but they are still out there. And even a small network of prayer warriors is very powerful. The prayers of a righteous man (or woman) are powerful and effective (availeth much)!! (acc to James 5:16)

And thank you Carol! I agree, great visual!! (I didn't come up with it, the advertising guys at Verizon did, lol!!)

LOL... I missed this Mike!!
OMGosh!!  I love it!!
I'll NEVER see that commercial the same way again.

Then add the "Everything" skit.
The view of what happens when we pray that do not see with the eyes.

big grin  THAT is our God!
