It's all in Your Thinking.!
I let go of fleshly thinking.
I don't take mind oughtering drugs,
or do any drinking.
Not even on the holiday.
If I be consumed with stimulants,
God won't hear me, when I pray.
And I need my prayers to be heard.
I need God to give me a word.

 
Some may think,
it ok to have a sip, every now and then.
But that's just the flesh, deceiving you again.
I don't need a drink, to have a good time.
I don't know when Jesus will return,
I need to be in my right mind.
Sober and accepting of God.
Blessed and favored, by the Lord.

 
We blame everything on the devil,
but that isn't always true.
More than half of your problems,
live right in the heart of you.
The choices that you make.
And the crazy chances that we take.
20:1 Wine [is] a mocker, strong drink [is] raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

JOE, THATS GREAT..... I WOULD RATHER STAND BESIDE GOD CAUSE YOU CAN DRINK, DO DRUGS ETC.........TO COVER YOUR PROBLEMS BUT THEY WILL STILL BE THERE IN THE MORNING.....SO BEING WITH GOD IS MY CHOICE.

KC, I agree.   Some choices last a life time, if you let it.   But God has always provided a way out for me through Jesus.    If only I knew then what I know now.   Thanks be unto God for his mercy is everlasting and his truth endureth through all ages.   I pray for His wisdom to make the right choices.   Especially to be able to straighten out the wrong ones.   I've been blessed with 21 years of living sober after 16 years of drinking alcohol.   So I can truly say the Lord Keeps Blessing Me All The Time Right On Time.   To God Be The Glory Forever.

Wow, it seems like everyday you birth out a new poem, how amazing is that?  God bless you Kansas and the wonderful gift God has given you.  Only a strong man of God can write something like this.
