I'm supposed to be working on a paper. I've got two of them due on Tuesday, along with a final exam that will probably total at least 5 pages (single-spaced). I've got another paper due by Friday (12/12), and then I've got two more finals. I'm a little busy right now, I'm very behind, and I'm undermotivated. I think the psychological term is that I utilize an avoidance-coping strategy. Yeah, I know...That's not good. But while I'm procrastinating anyway, I might as well share something.
Thanksgiving was great. It was hard being away from our parents, but Jason and I had fun with Josh and Carrie. We all enjoy spending time together - as dangerous as it can be to have two Quinn boys in the same house at once.
As the weekend was wrapping up, though, things started to get really difficult. For this reason, I have several prayer requests:
Josh's friend & her family
The Phillips family
The Brogden family
Ryan Brown & his family
Dr. Bruce Adams's family
(All of the above have lost family members recently)

My discouragement in the past few days has been insane, and I know that I cannot in anyway get everything done while dealing with discouragement, grief, or depression. I am blessed and encouraged to know that there are others who are also lifting these people/situations up - even if they do not know those who need the prayer or what the specific need is. For those of you who have been keeping me in your prayers, thank you. Please know that your prayers - for me and for those mentioned above - will be used by God.
Thank you for helping me make it through the end of this semester. |
