WOW! You have really put this into a perspective I had not ever considered. I am one of those ADD people that have a hrd time concentrating without being interrupted, so I usually have an even harder time dealing with interruptions. This is one of the many things I have realized I need God's help with in my life. Seeing interruptions from God's point of view really changes everything.

Thanks for the view.

Gods talking to me everywhere I am about busyness.I'm  like Julia,am an ADD child& don't handle interuptions well most of the time.Wonder how many times I've missed being used by God because I'm too busy having a hiss all because I didn't want to stop what I was doing.

I must say that I on the other hand absolutely HATE to be rushed, not late, just rushed. There is something relaxing in taking your time. You see and hear all the things you miss when you are in a hurry. Case in point.... Allen takes every day full tilt and with no thought of ever slowing down. Now, Allen wanting to be like Dad, loves to hunt. Or should I say, loves to get outdoors. It took my two years and eight trips to the woods to get him to understand it is only when we slow down and keep quiet that we see and hear what we are looking for. We were hunting one beautiful November day on Burton's land up at Snake Run. Allen was fidgety(?) and just could not keep still or quiet. I finally said to him,"Just sit down and see if you can stay still for 5 minutes." Within about 3 minutes, a chipmunk came out of the brush. Allen's eyes widened!!!! The chipmunk scurried about and eventually ran across Allen's boots. The boy was about to bust!!!! He looked at me with this HUGE smile and whispered, "that was COOL!!!!" We saw no deer that day. We did see 8 more chipmunks, 3 woodpeckers, countless other birds and two very playful squirrels. As we were walking back to the Blazer, slowly mind you, Allen turned and said, " Dad, you know, this was a pretty good day, wasn't it?" He finally gets it.
I think some days we forget to do that with God. We get so wrapped up in the gotta do's and the gotta go's, we miss the things God wants us to see and hear. So, even though it irks Terry somewhat, I will continue to take my time.....

Right on Joe I wish I could learn that lesson well, I just can't imagine Jesus in a hurry.

Billy, Thanks for this. I am new to this site and well I don't always get to look around but glad I did. I work at Lowes, Seasonal and Lawn and Garden Section. It is very busy and well I walk a lot. My biggest "problem" is stopping and talking and talking. Well I was getting worried I may get in trouble when God spoke to me in a very audible voice. You are here to provide good Customer Service for Lowes ... but you are also here to show my love to you through your life and through your witness. Work is just that work, as walking is just that walking but when we are here on a commission from God we need to blend the two and make a great impression on all for the Kingdom of God.

I love Dr Stanley and will look forward to reading his sons book as well. Be Blessed and Keep walking the walk and talking the talk.
