Hi Grant~
There are probably at least five Prophets and Disciples mentioned in Scripture who were depressed (evidently) at times.  Some of them didn't even care if they died.  I don't believe any were suicidal, they just would rather die if God would let them.......I think?  Anyway, do You happen to know if there were more than five...if five?.......Ken & Angel  ORR.

I will pray for you Grant, you are a over comer... remember God choose you... John 15:16:
16 You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

If God chose you, how will you fail? If God is for you who could be against you?

Deu 28:13If you listen to these commands of the LORD your God and carefully obey them, the LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always have the upper hand.

God bless you.

Philippians 1:23

"For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart , and to be with Christ; which is far better:...

1 Kings 19:1-4

1.  And Ahab  told  Jezebel  all that Elijah  had done  , and withal how he had slain  all the prophets  with the sword.

2. Then Jezebel  sent  a messenger  unto Elijah,  saying  , So let the gods  do  to me, and more  also, if I make  not thy life  as the life  of one  of them by to morrow  about this time.

 3. And when he saw  that, he arose  , and went  for his life,  and came  to Beersheba,  which belongeth to Judah,  and left  his servant  there.

4. But he himself went  a day's  journey  into the wilderness,  and came  and sat down  under a  juniper tree:  and he requested  for himself  that he might die  ; and said  , It is enough;  now, O LORD,  take away  my life;  for I am not better  than my fathers.  1 Kings 19:1-4

I struggled with depression most of  my life. I am the wife and mother of suicides so take it seriously. It is the second cause of death in white males sixteen to twenty four. Second. I think we need to really examine ourselves and check the source. My doctor labled me mildly bipolar but I take no meds for that. When young folks on here are hurting, I would err on the side of caution and send a word to them in case it is more than just a down day.

Grant, I love what I read from you and I agree that some strong men of God faced depression. It is what we do with that and how we survive and soar after that speaks to the hurts of hurting other folk. So soar, my brother, soar!
