Get rid of the Crap

I am writing after finishing my first week of my new bible study homework. I am so excited! During our first meeting when I opened my workbook as i thumbed through the pages I felt this rush and tingle in my fingers. Like if i just got a hold of a pot of gold. As if I just received something i have been waiting for my entire life. Really that is how I felt at that moment. That is why I know this study is going to by amazing.

For the past month I know God has been speaking to me about getting rid of crap in my life, you know the bad habits that can hinder our walk. Whether big or small, most of them are the small things that we think are no big deal. Like giving the television/internet/magazines more time than we give god. (i am guilty). Listening to music that have negative messages but we still listen because we like the beat. (guilty too) just to name a few. God has been letting me know that if I don't get rid of these things that this relationship just won't work. He is coming to soon and I need to be ready. I pray that we are all ready.

So our new bible study is on 2nd Peter just the tools I need. God is always clear in his message, god doesn't speak in codes, no cryptic messages, always clear. We just have to be willing to open our eyes and ears to see it and accept it even if we don't like it. Not to play dumb or try to ignore it. His timing is always perfect, he loves us so much that he is constantly preparing us for the next step in our walk. that is how i feel right now. I feel as though he is preparing me for the next level. He's like "step it up MaryAnn, it's now or never." And I pray tonight for the tools that I need to make sure I get it right.
