I am very sad right now. For any of you that have followed the story about the missing pregnant woman in Ohio, you might know that a body was found and is believed to be her. Considering the details of this case, it is not surprising that she was found dead. It is still shocking though. They have arrested the father of the baby, charging him with two counts of murder. I won't go into details of her relationship with him, and if you want that information you can easily do a search for it. It is a messy situation, even before murder was involved.
What I do want to comment on is how someone can kill a woman, who is 9 months pregnant? And then wrap her body in a comforter and take her out and dispose of the body? How can he leave a child alone in the home where his mother was killed? (At least he didn't kill the child, who also belongs to him), and provided he is the murderer, which he has said repeatedly that he is not.
How does that family put their lives back together after such a tragedy? How will they ever be able to forgive? And that little boy, who may have witnessed his mother's death, how will he be when he gets older?
Such evil fills the hearts of men, does it not? Many will ask "where was God?" But it is not God who causes the evil of this world. He gives us the choice to do good or to do evil. Unfortunately, sometimes when someone does evil, it affects others. This woman made the choice to get involved with this man, and that choice ultimately led to her death, and it is causing pain for her family.
My heart breaks for the family, for that little boy, and for the unborn child that will never see the light of day. I know she went straight to the Father's arms, and I know she is much better off than living in this world and all its sin and suffering. Please, pray for this family, and for the murderer, and for the authorities, that they find the truth and that justice is done.

3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. That is really sad. I think that the father was properly charges because even if he didn't do it he might have had the option to stop it right? I don't know much about it. Did that wife and the husband not have a very good relantionship. They probably didn't. That is really sad that someone would kill a pregnate woman that was about to have the baby. That is just disgusting. That just makes me wonder what other kind of people are out in the world now just like the father or who killed her. I just don't know why people would do that but there are many different people out there that don't follow the word of god. You are right people do need to pray for the family. One question that I don't know if you answered, did she have the baby before she was killed? I will keep the family in my prayers!
God bless Hailey

| JelliBean, the woman that was murdered was not married to the father of the baby...it was a totally mixed up mess...he was actually still married to another woman who he was separated from. And no, she did not have the baby before she was murdered. That is what makes this even more sad!!! Thanks for your comments. |

| Deb, death is a hard thing for any of us to understand. Untimely death is even harder. The only thing that we can think of is how unfair it is...and it is very unfair. I have struggled for so many years with death and how are we to deal with it. Oh, don't get me wrong, when a saint dies after a long life, we can rejoice and give God the glory, but what about the others...as in this case? What then? How must we react? Can anybody possibly reach out in love to the father of the child? Scripture says we must. Truly, is his sin any greater than my sin? In God's eyes it isn't. Does that make it easier? No. Oh what wretched souls we are. I have no answers Deb. I have no answers. It isn't something I have ever come to grips with, and, quite honestly, I am not sure I ever will. Come, Lord Jesus! |

DC, I said the same thing when I heard that this woman was dead. There is just so much evil in this world, not just this case, but everywhere. I just said Come Lord Jesus, Come.
PsalmsGirl, there is a photo that shows Jesus looming over the world, and a tear running down his face. That is what I picture He looks like at times. |

| Cathy, yes it was confirmed it was her. They did an autopsy and announced it this afternoon. They have also made another arrest, of a friend of the man who is the father of the baby. So, so sad. |

| I remember Lacie's case. So sad there too! I wonder if we will ever know the whole story? I think the police have done an excellent job in investigating this, so hopefully they will find out all the details. |

It's an awful situation, but we live in a world of sin. Did this woman and her unborn child 'do' anything to cause this? Well, the child inside her definitely did not, but she was being carried and was to be born into a sinful world...we all deal with the consequences - sometimes not in such huge ways, but we do. The thing that bugs me about this and the Lacie Peterson case too is the 'weirdness' of the law: He's being charged with 2 counts of murder - one for her (I get) and one for the unborn child. Now, if someone went into an abortion clinic and asked to have the pregnancy terminated, it's not murder. But if someone else does, not a doctor, it is. This is why God's Law makes more sense than the flawed laws of man. |

PsalmsGirl, I would not be surprised that this woman is another "girlfriend". He seemed to have a few of them, besides having a wife. How this woman that was killed ever got involved with him, let alone have two children by him, is beyond me...her choices though, led to her death, and that of the unborn baby. And thanks for the video link, I will check it out...
GrowinginFaith, I never thought about the fact that he is up for murder for the unborn baby, and yet, people can have abortions without getting any punishment whatsoever. That is a very good thing to point out. |

| I hear it on th news but can' t recal the details it happens so often that i guess I have been some what desincitised and that should be a sin if it is not. I pray right now for the family and the child that the curse be broken and the boy does not become one of the victims who become a perbatrator because of the evil done to him. It is so often the case that youngsters who witness evil of that extent become evil as they grow up We need to pray hard for that child that he over come all the evil around him in Jesus name Amen. |

Valerie, thanks for praying...you are right of course, that little boy needs a lot of prayers. Let's hope that he has a strong family that will step in and support him through this, and he gets the proper counseling if it comes to that. Thanks for your comments.
Lisa, Amen! |
