ABC-123 A=All-together lovely B=Because He lives C=Christ alone 1=Crown of thorns 2=Pieces of wood 3=Rusty ole nails A)...Altogether lovely is Jesus my Lord in and through everything that there is to even conceive!! B)...Because He lives, I can face tomorrow , all fear is gone, and yes I know who holds my future and He holds it all right there in the palm of His Almighty Powerful hand.Amen C)...Christ alone heals the broken hearted, lifts the yokes of bondage and breaks the back of poverty, turns water into wine, takes upon Himself all my heavy burdens, (amen) casts all fear aside, is my advocate, is worthy, fills my heart with joy unspeakable and full of glory and the half has never yet been told...Christ alone is the door through which we inherit eternal life! 1)...The Crown of thorns was that in which my Blessed Savior chose, He could have had the very best yet like that lamb that waited to be slaughtered our dear Lord Jesus, yes that little baby that laid down His sweet head in a manger wrapped up tight in swaddling clothes would one day have placed upon His head and brow tremendously painful thorns which I'm sure dug into His scalp.Have you ever picked up a rose or flower only to feel the sting or prick of the thorn, I must be a baby because i let out a whoop when something like that occurs, Our Lord had that little feeling multiplied around His head. Just something to think about. 2)...Two old pieces of wood that one day in Jesus young life as He learned Joseph's craft and trade of carpentry most likely played with little blocks there on the old dirt floor of the shop. I can just see him now carving and playing with those blocks turning them into the shape of the cross that one day He would hang on in our place!! 3)...Three nails pierced the flesh of God's very own Son. Now I don't know if they were rusty or not? Giving the time period and location and the fact that they most likely just didn't care, and not to forget the climate and all the weather elements, but anyway--ripped and tore at the hands and feet of our Jesus....And the song says, be His hands and His feet. Singing this now will be sung in a different light knowing where these most precious hands have been, Amen And in closing, alot can be debated and discussed about the history and time lines and different viewpoints, etc. But one thing remains the same Jesus died for our sins, won't you trust Him today? And if that be you dear friend and you have, then go find and tell somebody what Hes done for you !In Jesus name, amen!!~S |
