It reminds me of a parable my grandmother was known to say alot: You can lead a horse to water - but you can't make it drink.

Thanks for this powerful passage!

When you say "kinda funny how the world won't act right" I think how the christians do in fact ACT right on occasion. The difference between what I think you mean and what I mean is ACT or another word might be pretend better describes the reality of the modern Christian. You see the modern Christian only accepts what is not to inconvenient and will find a way to rationalize the difficult parts of acting right ie...God only expects you to give what you can,not ten percent. The real differrence between the Christians and the rest of the world is the rest likely has a lesser level of hypocracy amongst many other less than desirable qualities.

I wonder what makes you think you have the authority to make such a sweeping statement about the rest of the world.Take a lesson from me and not the choir on this site. You are not the authority.

Hello Pillar of Truth,I will agree there is hypocrisy in the Christian church,I will also submit this,"we are held to a higher standard".When we mess up the world is standing there ready to pounce!!! We have had some T.V.preachers who by all means don't represent the"whole church"fall from grace".The celebrity status and what the world"thinks" of Christianity is the key here. The world thinks Christians should be perfect when really what we are is forgiving. While I promise there are exceptions to this,it is truer than not.Your last statement as to being an authority,I get my authority from the Word of God.I may make mistakes but God doesn't.If you get the chance read the "Gospels".It will change your life
