That article on forum18 was published in March of last year. I don't know how the law has progressed since then.

It was the only thing I could find in English. One change I am aware of is the number of citizens it takes to register a religious community. That number was higher but has been lowered to 1200. That was the primary concern of the pastor. Under those standards his small church would have to cease being a church. Steve

Forum 18 was updated July 2, 2007.  The Tajik government has stopped accepting  applications fo legal status from religious organizations.  There is indications that that this new law would break the current Tajik Constitution.  The only other comment that seemed new is that  all religious education in private homes would be forbidden.  I can't even imagine not being able to teach my own children about my faith - Muslim or Christian.
