Phil 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ.
We are to be rooted, built up and established in the Lord Jesus Christ not the world. Jesus is on His way back soon. We'd all need to be ready. This includes myself as well.
I've seen it all, been through it all and God sees it all. You can fool people some of the time but you cannot fool God at no time. He sees it all. So don't think for one minute that you are fooling Him. We must get real with ourselves.
You see many Christians go to church on Sunday after Sunday, dressed down or dressed up in their Sundays best (amen). Praising God to no end on Sunday morning. The Church is filled to the maximum capacity. You dare not sit in the church mother's seat. The pastor begin to preach, you break with you sunday morning shout. The elders and deacon keep order in the church. The ushers and greeters smile greeting and ushering everyone to their seat. The evangelist and choir members ushers in the Spirit of God with their praises. You can't sit down but you try to make through the service but it's difficult to sit down. . It's called the Holy Spirit.
Then there is intercessory prayer on Monday night and Wednesday night bible study. The faithful few shows up. What happened to the rest of the church members? (Wow ) Sunday service was packed. We still need God throughout the week. (amen)
Now here comes Monday morning at work. the same church folk on Sunday, shouting and praising God until the cows come home walks into work, walked by people, (did not say Good Morning) cursing as the world do things, playing numbers, going onto the gambling casinos, smoking, etc. Oh yes and that Wednesday night bible study night was ladies night at the club Casino Royal. (HELLO). Where is the child of God ? You are acting like the world who has not accepted Christ. UNDER COVER CHRISTIAN. When you accepted Christ into your life the old man must die and you became a new creature in Christ.him. LET HIM DIE.
All of the promises of God are conditional. If we do our part, God will always do His. Live holy unto God because you cannot pull one over on Him.
Remember this God is always watching you. So watch what you do. Amen
4:29 But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. |

Good word, a lot folks don't want to hear or read that but it is good word.
4:1 I give you orders, before God and Christ Jesus, who will be the judge of the living and the dead, and by his revelation and his kingdom; 4:2 Be preaching the word at all times, in every place; make protests, say sharp words, give comfort, with long waiting and teaching; 4:3 For the time will come when they will not take the true teaching; but, moved by their desires, they will get for themselves a great number of teachers for the pleasure of hearing them; 4:4 And shutting their ears to what is true, will be turned away to belief in foolish stories. 4:5 But be self-controlled in all things, do without comfort, go on preaching the good news, completing the work which has been given you to do. |

Ugh. yeah. Great word. I am pretty forthcoming with my laziness....and much ashamed, I admit. But God wanted me back here for a reason. Perhaps encouragement and DEFINATELY more accountability. People sometimes forget that even if you aren't out smoking, drinking, sleeping around, fighting, swearing (constantly I mean, without caring), etc. that you aren't backslidden. Well, I must say HOGWASH. Drawing back is backslidding. Losing your first love is backslidding. So although I can't imagine going back to that "visible" stuff of sin, what's the diff, right? Because like you say here, "God is always watching you." I can't seem to get this fire stoked! I'm being humbled too. lol P.S. I missed you, sista! |

What's done in the dark will be brought to the light! Sometimes we, I know I have, been caught up in the sins of the "outer" ie: clubbing, sex, cursing, smoking, drinking, etc. but GOD is constantly looking at your heart, cause out of it are the issues of life. Secret sins we think nobody knows, but GOD does. Hatred, nasty attitudes, judging others, etc.... There is NO undercover JESUS so we, the body of CHRIST need to get it together and stop fakin! Like a.s.a.p. before Our Heavenly Father returns! I miss ya MA Rhemes! :-) |
