I have a million thoughts going through my mind right now concerning the cares of this life choking out the Word of God in our life.But I want to ask this one question. Have we become so attached,addicted to the temporal(the here and now) that we have forgotten,forsaken to watch and pray? I was talking to someone the other day about prayer and studying the Word of God and they were very quick to tell me they didn't have enough time to pray or read there Bible. I'm afraid there's a lot of "Christians" that would have to say the same thing if they were honest.Please do not allow reality TV shows to replace the Reality of Jesus Christ in your life. That may seem comical. But have we allowed the (TV,WWW,MOVIES) to replace real intimacy with Jesus? Are you watching for the soon return of Jesus or are you too busy DVRing your favorite TV shows.
Father I pray right now that we would begin to take serious prayer and the Word of God.Lord give this generation of young people "the old folks too" a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Help us to separate ourselves from this temporal world and become consumed with your Eternal Kingdom in Jesus name.AMEN
As I prayed this prayer I heard the Spirit of the Lord say there's so much more just seek Me and you will find Me. |
