| The Heart: Transformed through Christ |

This is my first time blogging so we'll see how it goes...
27:8 When you said, "Seek My face," my heart said to You, "Your face, O Lord, I shall seek." Psalms 27:8 NASB This is one of my favorite verses. There seems to be this idea that God doesn't speak anymore. Or that He doesn't do miracles anymore. That stuff happened in the Bible way back then, but God doesn't really do that anymore. In fact if another christian were to say that they actually heard the voice of God we would probably doubt it. But God does speak. He is always speaking, we have stopped listening. In order for us to hear God's voice we have to know it. We learn to know God's voice by spending time with him. And by letting him speak, asking him to speak.
83:1 God, do not remain quiet; Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still! Psalms 83:1 NASB But what about the heart mentioned in Psalm 27? It doesn't seem to match up with jeremiah 17...
17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9 How does the heart go from being more decietful than anything to entirely in tune with God?
We have to be saved!
1:13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transformed us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 1:14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins: Colossians 1:13-14 NASB
I picture a child who has been playing in the mud. Now that we have been pulled out of the mud we are still dirty and need to be cleaned.
36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. 36:27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep mine ordinances, and do them.
So now we have been transformed! We're talking heart transplant! new heart new life new spirit!
27:8 When you said, "Seek My face," my heart said to You, "Your face, O Lord, I shall seek." Psalms 27:8 NASB The simple beautiful gospel: Sick - Jeremiah 17:9 Rescued - Colossians 1:13-14 Transformed - Ezekiel 36:26-27 Called - Psalm 27:8
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
