| The Popularity Of Theological Expression |
|

Why do many nonbelievers like to use theological language in their day to day lives? Why do people who say they don’t believe in eternal punishiment for sin, tell people to “go to Hell”? Why do they use the expression “Hell no!” to let someone know that they are not interested in following their suggestion?
Why do people who say they don’t want their children exposed to prayer, use the phrase: “Oh my God”? Why do people who insist that they don’t believe in prayer, loudly ask God to “damn” things?
Why do people who say they don’t want to talk about God and spiritual things keep bringing them up in conversation? Isn’t there a major inconsistency here? |

On the surface it seems inconsistent. They reject God and claim to want nothing to do with religious discussion, but we know a deeper truth. In spite of their rebellion, they can't stop being what they are. Fundamentally religious beings. We (humans) have no separate existence apart from being CREATED and always at root being in fundamental covenantal relationship with our CREATOR. We are either in rebellion against that fact or in submission to it. But it remains a fact nonetheless, and like it or not, it is our inescapable nature to behave in fundamentally religious ways. |

(smile) When they say God....(you know what)...I say...Now what do GOD have to do with that????...You know...When they wanna say Oh my GOD....Perfect opportunity to talk about the Royal laws...not using the Lords Name in vain...well God is really WHO He is...but the same applies when they bump their toe and cry out loud ...JESUS....(in vain....smile)...
Golden opportunities for HIS CHILDREN (believers) to witness and plant some REAL SEEDS........See GOD has provided a way for ALL of His children to be without excuse on the day of Judgment ....(smile) |

Could someone tell me why Christians are so hung up on judging those outside the Church instead of taking a good look at themselves?!! It is written in 1 Cor 5:12&13 and 11:31: "For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside [the Church]? But those who are outside God Judges."
"For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be Judged [by God]."
Time for "men of God" to grow up - brethren! And the rest of the family will follow. Get angry at me all you may choose - Jehovah Jira is my provider; therefore, I will proclaim His Truth whether you choose to hear or whether you refuse to hear - and right now few of you have been paying attention, except with self-righteous lip service. Nevertheless; your blood will not be on my hands (Ezekiel 3:13-21).
Psalms 27:17.

| Brother Steve, People that are lost for the most part know about Hell. Where did the misconception come from that everybodies going to heaven? Jesus said that few there be that find it, the straight way that is. Madalene Murray O' Hare in her defence that there was no God always quoted Bible verses. Why would one try to disprove something by reading from it? |

| You, my friend, as with most "Christian" evangelist, missionaries and local church leaders over the centuries, have placed emphasis on the "first" part of Jesus' command in Matthew 28:19&20, but the second part is even more important - which is why there is so much iniquity (and sin) in God's house. |

| LOL. When someone says OMG, I sometimes ask them if they often pray. When some uses Jesus' name in vain, I often say it's not his fault. When someone says go to hell, I could possibly come up with another smart comment, but haven't so far. |

well if we think about it, the word itself states that unless someone has the Holy Spirit that the Bible is not something they are going to even understand, so it is the mystery of the Spirit to the lost to begin with. So really there is absolutely nothing strange about us hearing those things said. I have heard them said regarding other religions as well. We think about it because personally we relate to them.
Here is a word. "Charismatic". When that word is used the Church thinks of a sect in the body of Christ. The world thinks of a persons' personality and not at all about a belief system. |

Steve, you are good at what you do, Always looking for a topic to speak on.
I have a relative who thinks this whole story about God, our creator, heaven, hell, is nothing more than a myth. One time when I witnessed to him, we had a real good talk. He was seeking truth, but he just could not let go of his own beliefs. His expressions are just as you said and then someone added,They call out the name Jesus. I can't judge him, God has not opened up his understanding, but if he has, he has rejected the truth and therefore is in bondage. Yes I agree that we are to witness and plant seeds of truth, but all the time? Especially to those who you have already spoken to! And may I say this, even some of those who know of Gods mercy and grace and are part of his body, have these same expressions. May God have mercy on us all.
