"And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?" Numbers 12:6-8 "Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations..." Deuteronomy 7:9 "The LORD render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness: for the LORD delivered thee into my hand to day, but I would not stretch forth mine hand against the LORD's anointed." 1 Samuel 26:23 "For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue." Psalm 5:9 "A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health." Proverbs 13:17 "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." Proverbs 27:6 "This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him." Lamentations 3:21-24 "And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee." Luke 5:20 To the only wise God - Your dominion has been established by you before the creation. I thank you for the blessings you have given each and every one of us. First, I ask you to forgive me of my unrighteous dealings, and my omission of the deeds that are conducive to Your will, especially in my life. I thank You for Your faithfulness and Your longsuffering. Thank you, Lord. Continue to abide with u,and in us - we cannot do it without You. Lord Jesus, I thank You for continuing to show us the Way. I thank You for Your Spirit guiding us, prompting us to continuing looking and seek things from above. There has been a strange movement away from the church. Leaders have been falling left and right. Many try to use this as a means to justify their disdain for church and the things Christian. No one is fooled. There has NEVER been an era where great leaders were perfect. So why are so many using fallen leaders as excuses when that was NEVER the problem? Ask any good leader - they are not perfect. They have quite a few "flaws", if you will. One thing about a great Christian leader - and this common to ALL without exception - they depend on the Lord Almighty in all things. They have faith. Faith in God. God is the Leader. He is the ultimate Authority. God appoints leaders, knowing their flaws and knowing their strengths - after all, He gave them their abilities and formed them. He knew each of us before we were found in the womb. God speaks to His appointed leaders as delegates of His authority. Pastors, apostles, elders, bishops - the entirety of leadership - are like deputies and sheriffs...even judges. They help spread and enforce the laws given by the Lawgiver. The law is the word of God. God has given us the means to grow in trust of Him, and of leadership - His Word. You must be connected to God - trusting good leadership is not trusting in them but, rather, trusting in God's decision to appoint them to the position. This can be very difficult. There are so many people who have taken it upon themselves to be leaders, but they have not been anointed to the position, nor were they appointed. The key is how they line up with the word of God. Do they enforce the word of God? Do they spread the word of God? Or is there agenda beyond the salvation of souls, to something more selfish and personal? Do they have the heart of God? What is God saying to you abuot them? Can you hear? You will see God in them. You will see the fruit of the Spirit in them and in their life. So many people cannot trust appointed leadership because they don't trust God. It is impossible to believe in leadership if you do not have a personal, intimate relationship with God. For most people, they get in their own way. Pride will keep you from your blessing. Leaders are appointed to look after the souls of those they lead. There has to be mutual choice to trust one another - this goes both ways. A leader who does not trust their subordinates misses on their blessing as well. A leader must trust that God will send them people to help them further the vision God gave them, and keep those who would distract from damaging the cause. Don't fear the choices of God - know His will and hear His voice. Faith in leadership is an essential aspect of our walk with God. Be blessed. |
