The spirit part of you is the part of you that got born-again. It was created in righteousness and true holiness, as opposed to false holiness. Nothing you can do, or quit dong, can make you holy.

In your spirit you have the mind of Christ. And you know all things. And, you have been blessed with every spiritual blessing. So why do you continue to ask God for that which He has already given you?
 
Almost the entire book of Ephesians is written from the perspective that we already have received all things that pertain to life and godliness. Paul's prayer was that our eyes would be opened and enlightened  to understand the riches of the glory of his inheritance which is in the saints. That's us.

I talked in much more detail on these things in a blog I wrote some time ago entitled "Spirit, Soul, & Body." 

There is so very much I could add to that teaching as today I believe that I have received even greater revelation. But I choose to refrain from posting a long blog. But I will say that knowing who I am in Christ and knowing what is available to me in the realm of the spirit because of that incredible one-time sacrifice of our Lord Jesus, has changed my life. And the message of Spirit, Soul, & Body was one of the keys that unlocked that part of my brain so that I could comprehend.

I would encourage you to read the above linked blog sometime when you have a few moments to spare. It's good stuff. But even better yet, I am posting below a link to a video series from the teacher who taught me the better part of this truth, Andrew Wommack.

Regardless of how you may perceive me, or my messages, I strongly encourage you to take some time to listen to this entire series. Yes, it will require some time. There are five parts to this series and each one is over an hour in length, but if it helps you realize that you already have life-raising power within you then isn't it worth a little bit of time?

1 John 4:17 says that as Jesus is, so are we, in this world. Do you believe that? Well, that's what the bible says. But without an understanding of who you are in the spirit you will never grasp the truth that we who are joined to the Lord are one spirit. One, as in to the exclusion of another.
